Honeysuckles and Queen Anne's Lace

On the way to work I think how I miss seeing the fields of wildflowers I used to pass by. I love the pretty, fragile Queen Anne's Lace and the smell of honeysuckle, Gina has honeysuckles in her yard growing on her fence so I catch a whiff of the sweet smell when I visit.
The day was better at work yesterday, River, the child that had cried is trying another class so it was peaceful. July 8 everything will be mixed up and kids moving up to the next class. I hope I will get the below 2 group again.

Charli and I watch Sponge Bob together and this week I have heard her singing the theme song. She is now understanding she wears a diaper and when I told her to help me pull her pants up she hiked them way up and giggled at herself. She likes to do a big laugh that comes across like a villain and I do it back and we go back and forth. doing this evil sounding laugh. I learn something new everyday, she picked up her blocks when I sang the clean up song and she knows a horse when she sees the toy and she wanted to go outside and took me to the back door and started knocking telling me "out" . it has still been raining here and was wet si I had to tell her it had rained and showed her the rain on the window.

Thursday... this week is passing quickly. I am glad I only have 1 Wednesday each week. i leave at 7:15AM and don't get home until almost 8:30PM! maybe I will get something accomplished today to get ready for Saturday's show.

This is a picture from the Park Seed Garden last year. I am getting so excited that it is almost time I can go again! the tour is the end of June, Zaroga, Les is taking that Saturday of so you tell Frank he needs to get well so you can ride to Greenwood and go with us, LOL! Thanks for the hints on my computer, I had dumped my cache and cookies and my Antivirus was supposed to update automatically but this AM when I went to check that No Antivirus! So this is a quickie post so I can fix that!

Charli's Lighthouse

Charli has a couple at church who have adopted her as their own and spoil her all the time. Papa Doug and Nana Elaine bought her this solar lighthouse so I took pictures to put in a thank you note.


My Tropicana Rose has bloomed now. I will be glad when the rain stops so I can get a good picture, it has been so wet and cloudy. It is really a beautiful rose.
My roses up front are really growing and one has many blooms. I am afraid maybe there has not been enough sun for it to bloom!
Oh, Gina brought Charli over for awhile yesterday, she had been feeling a little bad and her Memaw couldn't get her to nap or eat. They had to be at Tye's band show at 6:00 and Trey was working late. She threw up Wednesday night. I played with her a few minutes then we laid down on my bed and she went right to sleep and slept for an hour. When Gina picked her up she said she could tell that Charli felt better. Charli wanted to stay but Gina had started feeling bad, too. I pray they are all right today!

Oh, Zaroga reminded me of a link I found with some strange dresses! I was looking up the beautiful Butterfly Dress!

After the storms and Flowers

After the bad storms last week we had so many trees uprooted. I got a few shots around town. This part of Grace was blocked off because a huge tree blocked the road
It didn't bother the poor tree near the hospital, I hate looking at how they massacred it around the electric lines!!
This was the tree at the hospital and below is a lot they are piling up some of the trees and limbs. I wish I had gotten pictures of the Children's Home but they cleaned it up quickly. It was very bad. Several houses were hit all around town. The last one is a house above the hospital that a tree fell across the street and hit, I really wish you could see the roots on these pictures!




NOW here are some of my plants. I planted things to attract humming birds and butterflies. I have a section with zinnias which are my favorite. They surround my butterfly bush. I put bee balm near two of my roses. The one I was most concerned about has 2 buds!
At the front with my other roses I put red and purple Verbena, Phlox, Dianthus and purple Petunias. I also have some Pineapple mint and other mint I brought over from my old house.
I put a Blue Angel Columbine at my backdoor in a cement planter and filled hanging baskets to put at my bird feeders with Salvia, Ageratum and my favorite Nicotiana called Hummingbird II Rose.
I will get a few more herbs I think. My friend Tim said I could have a pole for my feeders he would bring me. I am having to fill up the 2 I have Every Day! They are small though.
Well I am going to see what my friends have been up to, LOL, and get ready for bed.
