I am not staying up to see the New Year. I have coughed until my rib hurts and my knee is still swollen so I am going to climb in my warm bed after I take some Advil. I hope everyone else does more exciting things.

This is my Favorite gift this Christmas! When Charli comes to the house now she points and says Volkswagen! Les gave it to me and it is made of metal, very cool!
I went to the dentist yesterday and got my broken tooth fixed. He said it was now 25% tooth and 75% filling but it works well and he is a great dentist and didn't hurt! Gina got her retainer yesterday, too.
Here is this week's challenge
This last week of 2009 we are completing our theme on GLORY, so the scripture verse for Week 40 comes from 1 Chronicles 29:11 which says:
“Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours.”

** Be sure to read the General Guidelines to the challenge HERE, where you can find out what will happen each week. It will tell you how you can take part, what you will be receiving, where to post your submissions to, etc.

Charli's new bed, this is what Santa brought her. She loved the ball pit best, LOL!

Saturday, December 26, 2009

Charli really enjoyed Christmas! She keeps singing Jingle bells and saying "Here comes Santa Claus!" I got tickled at her putting on the Santa suit for her Build a Bear Moose we got her! She spend this afternoon with us and we drove to '96' to see the lights and then rode through Connie Max. We also stopped by to see Les's Mom awhile. She fell the other day and hurt her knee and mouth really bad. She was on a step stool trying to get things down she wanted to give on Christmas that were Papa's. She gave Charli a keyboard which Gina used to play with. I know Charli will enjoy it. She has lots of musical toys and plays with them all the time.

This Christams was sad without Papa and very sad because we stopped having Christmas Eve at Grandmama's but what Fun to be with Charli. She is saying so much!

Cathy K had a wonderfully cute Christmas Kit on sale at SBE called Happy Jolly Days. I couldn't help but scrap a picture from last year and this year! I need to do so more pages for Charli's book!
I am proud to say I got my MIL's calendar done yesterday!
Les and I are finally going to Greenville this afternoon! The starter and the alternator on my car are both fixed to off to Build a Bear and the craft stores!

Sunday, December 20, 2009

Sandra at Joyful Expressions emailed me and I wanted to share her site with you. I am SO CLOSE to finishing Charli's stocking but my hand keeps cramping and I told Gina I just can't manage it. I bought the fabric but I guess I will have to finish it for Christmas next year. I really shouldn't do such time consuming cross stitches, LOL!
Anyway I hope you will take a look at her site and get some inspiration!

Thursday, December 17, 2009

I have taken so few pictures lately! I just thought I would post this one today of Charli sweeping up something.
Les returned the parts for his truck and bought my starter but tomorrow he is going to have to but my alternator. I am driving around with a battery in the car in case I need it. I sure hope it gets it fixed in the morning because he and I plan on going to Greenville when I get off work to get something from Build-a-Bear for Charli. I got her the girl Moose to match the boy from last year and they gave me a $7 coupon so I want to get an outfit. I also want to pick up a couple of small things. I got the email that they had shipped Seth's bear, we got him the Camo bear with an Army Officer's suit on and I crocheted Jeremy and Seth matching Camo hats.
I am so close to finishing Charli's cross stitch but doing it makes my hand cramp. I go to the doctor about the cyst in my wrist January 13th. I have blood work the 14th so I am taking that day off. I told my boss I may have trouble changing diapers if he drains the cyst.
Well off to work. One of the ladies at work got a call her 15 year old DGD was dead, we don't know what happened yet but that has got to be one of the most horrid things to go through! Her name is Linda if you will whisper a prayer for her family.

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Charli with my scarf, I am going to make her one to match.
I am so Not in the Christmas spirit this year! We lost several Church members over silly stuff, Les's Dad passing, Jeremy not home, Les's health problems and I am having lung problems and being broke (major car repairs and stuff) I just want to get it over.
I have not even made the scrapbooks I usually make the kids at work or the calendars, my heart is just not in it. Sorry to gripe I am just recording the 'now'
On a great note Charli came to the house and we had a ball taking her out to see the lights! She is the star on my Christmas Tree!

My heart has not been in scrapping the last few weeks, I haven't even done any calendars or things for the kids at work but I did make these cards for a friend. I blurred the photos since they are not family but Connie's Joy to the World kit was perfect for the dresses they had on! I love the worn papers in it, too.
I will post Scripture Challenge later.

I had never watched the movie Prancer but did tonight, it is a wonderful Christmas movie! I went through a lot of tissues! I am glad I watched it alone, LOL!

I was so proud of Charli today! Les and I kept her because her Papa Mickey had surgery and we took her to the dentist were she colored and then sat on my lap while the hygienist cleaned my teeth! She never got a nap but at her last Kindermusik she was also wonderful. We came home and watched Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
This is the set I crocheted for her, I was going to give her for Christmas but it is so cold and she was playing with mine so I gave them to her.

This is my 29th anniversary, Les and I are going to Yoder's which is a Mennonite Restaurant in Abbeville with the choir at church, it was a good night for then to have their Choir Supper, I think. It has been Many years since I went there. I don't usually enjoy cafeteria food but I remember when I was young they had a peach, pecan, caramel pie which was awesome. Maybe I can get that, LOL!
This is from Thursday when we took Charli to Connie Maxwell Children's Home. Gina lives right at it and she met us there to pick her up. Charli was so excited about the animals! Thank goodness I had just made this hat for my great-niece because it was im the 40's and cold!
I sold 5 more pairs of earrings and took a portrait for Christmas Cards this weekend. One of my Church friends sold the earrings at her shop for me, how great is that?

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

I saw this cloud over the mall one night and thought it was so cool!
I stopped by and saw my Dr yesterday, I have a cyst on my wrist and have to go to a specialist Christmas Eve. That's what happened before my hand surgery 10 years ago. At least I can finish my Christmas presents before I have anything done! Sold two pairs of earrings at Dr's office, too.
Made a couple of bracelets I will share later.

Here is Charli helping us make our red velvet cake, Gina used green food coloring in one and I had help with my red layer from Charli, I used a recipe from Cooks.com and it was awful, Gina said she thinks it is because we used all purpose flour, I don't know but it was a waste! Pretty though!
Les got me a camcorder yesterday and I am very excited to try it out on Charli!

Friday, November 27, 2009

Even Digital Scrappers have Black Friday sales, LOL! Crash, Boom Pow is a collab between Connie Prince and Armina at Gotta Pixel, (image is linked) It was a perfect kit to start on some pages for Charli's Halloween, you can tell she loved Halloween!I also did a couple of Christmas pages using Hey Santa which Connie has at Elemental Scraps. I tried uploading to Elemental and Scrapable but both flipped out when I tried to get on!
For some reason my heart has not been in Scrapping but I have done a few pages to add to a Bragbook for Charli. I have gotten behind this year with that!

I hope you like my new Christmas Header! The kit is Deck the Halls by Cathy K Designs!

Last night we took Charli to the Christmas Festival at work where she saw Santa and rode the train, It was fun showing her off to the parents of the kids I have taught!
She was fascinated with the trees so I was happy to bring her home and decorate my tree! In 2 weeks I have been married to Les 29 years and I don't remember him ever helping me with the tree but you can see he and Charli are having a good time! It was hard for him, too, because the unit in his back has fluid around it and he keeps getting catches in his back.
I used to be so particular about my tree, I have gorgeous pink, green and teal decorations but they are staying boxed up this year and I have red lights and bows and snowmen and Santas and the little groups of ornaments at the bottom will stay just like they are... unless Charli decides they will look better somewhere else!

My cutie and my Christmas cactus

After my Grandmother saw my Christmas cactus she gave me hers this summer, I kept it outside all summer and brought it in when it started getting cool, it is really showing out! I will set my smaller one outside next year, too!
These are a couple of pictures of Charli Wednesday, she was acting silly so I didn't get any really good ones but she was cute with her little earrings!

Thursday, November 19, 2009

I wasn't prepared for what happened on The Mentalist tonight! I really love that show!
Here's another picture from Charli's other Grandmother. Love the little suit!

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Trey's Mom took this sweet picture! She shares lots of pictures with me on Facebook.
I forgot to mention I sold 3 pairs of the earrings I posted and Mom's boss said I could bring some to the store to sell! That is great because they sell all types of gifts and jewelry!!

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

As you can see I had some 'help' working on a scarf I am making, LOL! She kept saying "Do it, Please!" and twisting her hand so I took a picture, she was very excited! She is working on coloring right now and I thought while she colored I could work on my scarf but she really wanted me to color, to.
She was excited to show me she was sleeping in her big girl bed now, Gina and Trey converted her crib and she was enjoying getting in and out of it!
And finally these are the socks I got her. She Loves them! Pulls up her pant leg and says, "Ho, Ho, Ho!" She loves 'Claus', and already is excited to see pictures of him!

Christmas Earrings

Yesterday Les and I went to Greenville and I got this wonderful pair of chain nose pliers! They work so good in my right hand! I will go back and get the round nose ones soon!
Here are the Christmas earrings I have made so far, I have made several pairs today and working on painting some flower pots and listening to XM radio 70's music. Trying to stay away from Facebook, LOL!
