My Dad would have been 70 today. Three years ago we celebrated his last birthday and he passed away June 18, Father's day. It is good remembering him now, we spent a lot of quality time together as he suffered his last days of his cancer after years of hard feelings.
He was the smartest uneducated man I know. He only when to the sixth grade yet he mentally kept up with his checkbook and was a Master Machinist, making anything he wanted. When I tell people who my Dad was they usually say what a good man he was and I know he was a pretty good fellow, I can almost hear him laughing now, he did that a lot. I just regret that alcohol had to enter the picture when he was in his mid thirties, it changed the man that called me Sweetheart into a man I didn't like very much. I wish he could have been a man I wanted my kids to spend time with, Jeremy did not even invite him to his wedding and he never came to important things in their lives until Gina got married. That is one of my favorite memories! We asked the Grandmothers to all wear pink to her wedding and he told my Step-Mom to get him a pink shirt! Yes, real men do wear pink!
I love you, Daddy!

Now I am finished with my yard sale and made $132. I really got rid of a lot of scrapbooking stuff! I made bags of buttons, lace, stickers and little doodads and sold for 50cents and $1 and sold most of my paper to one woman 6 for $1!
We almost forgot tomorrow was the Gary Reunion in Elberton! Thank goodness Gina told me yesterday and Les is off! He is out trying to get a trailer to put the scooter on, now.
Well I had better get my craft room back to clean!!

I was so proud when I opened up my mail and found this! I have been featured by Christy Haig for this page! It was created by Miss Erin's Remember the Best Dreams that I gave the links for Wednesday.
Charli had a fun time while Gina and Trey went to the Graduation, I ended up keeping her here so I could work a little on my yard sale. A friend is coming to help me this afternoon, it rained and I didn't get things out of the garage yesterday, it cost over $ 9 to put an ad in the paper so I hope I can get enough scrapbooking and craft stuff to make more than that!

I thought I would share a couple of pictures from my day... The girls dancing for me are Kamryn and Livi, the 2 that will move up next week, they are now 30 months old. Then there's Kinley eating her Grits, I am glad they dry and I can get them cleaned up easy enough, LOL!
My zinnias are blooming, my butterfly bush is about to and my Mr Lincoln Rose has many buds.
Trey's brother Ty will graduate tonight so I am going over to Gina's and keep Charli while they go see him. I have everything tore up trying to get stuff together for Saturday. I sure hope it doesn't rain before I get to the garage today! I will be glad when that is over, I feel so behind this week!
My niece and her two kids have moved in with my MIL, that's all my MIL needs is to take care of 2 children under 4 while she is stressed out with my FIL! He now is jaundice and had potassium poisoning from his liver shutting down. The spot on his liver has grown, too. There is too much drama for me!

This page is done with the pictures I took when I brought Charli the bag from my Mom. She loves it and had a blast posing for me! I scrapped it with Miss Erin's newest kit Remember the Best Dreams on sale for $2.80 right now at Gingerscraps
She was happy to see me yesterday! When I walked in the door she was sitting on the sofa waiting to show me her new shoes, LOL! She is so much like her Mom and my Mom, when it comes to shoes, that skipped a generation because I am perfectly happy with Gina's old shoes, I hate to buy shoes!
I have a new child in class this week, they moved my crying child, she is still crying so at least it was not me but I do not have to sit and hold her all day! I have a new little boy and a little Japanese girl next week.
It was a long day yesterday, Trey didn't get home until 6:30 and it will be that way tonight then I have church so I am not making headway with my yard sale and getting behind on everything!
I have said it before I Love Thursdays!!

I got the Scrapture Challenge up at 3S, this is the posting gift Jolene made me as a gift. Jolene Shaffer is a designer at 3S and is my featured Designer for the month and provided the gifts for this month's challenges. She has had a couple of deaths in her family lately and other storms so I ask you to pray for her to stay strong as she faces them.
I had company last night so actually sat with her talking instead of scrapping or cleaning. I enjoyed her company, too!
It will be great to see Charli today, I have not seen her since last Wednesday since she didn't come to church Sunday!

This is this week's WA by Rina for the challenge at SBE Rina has a couple of gorgeous new kits out so be sure and stop by and see them while you are there.
We are starting a new theme for the month of June, based on the concept of PURPOSE. With that in mind, the scripture verse for Week 17 comes from Psalm 33:11 which says:
“But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.”

** Be sure to read the General Guidelines to the challenge HERE, where you can find out what will happen each week. It will tell you how you can take part, what you will be receiving, where to post your submissions to, etc.

This was a gift yesterday from the GAs at church, I am glad both the GA and RAs were started back. Les and I used to do them ten years ago, we even have a plaque that we were awarded. Time sure is passing by!
I have got to get the crafts together for VBS, Les has the story times and I do the crafts. Now we rotate so we have different groups come in and so we will have 3 or 4 classes. That really works out great. The biggest thing is my Sundayschool class is small and I have 2 sofas in it, the kids love our class and I will go in a find a pile of kids in there. Sometimes I wonder why I keep teaching but I think being surrounded by kids helps me keep young.
I hope to get started tagging things for my yard sale Saturday, I think I am going to sale down some of my scrapbooking stuff.

Here are some of my jewelry pieces that I took yesterday to the craft show. I just did the pictures quick to do this post so it is hard to see how pretty they really are.
Today seem so short! Part of it is we had to be at church at 5:15 for a Graduation reception for Beth and Travis and I took a long nap so I have not gotten much done! One of the neighbors told me they were having a yard sale next Saturday and if I wanted to he could just put the one ad in the paper. I am happy to do that because Les is off and I have been getting things ready to do that anyway.
We did have 2 people to join the church today and I actually forgot my camera! One was Donny who has been singing in the choir for awhile and been a part of the congregation for a few weeks (Donna's Brother) and the other is Karen who is our good friend Kevin's sister. I like putting these things down here because I can pull up the keywords when I do the book next year and have reminders what to scrap!
Also tonight was Fifth Sunday singing and I got pictures of everyone that sang.
My FIL is Not doing well, he is now jaundice and was in pain today. I am thinking about losing my own Dad Father's Day 2006, it probably will not be a drawn out thing, I really hope not, I hate seeing him suffer and my MIL age.
