I ended up selling 5 sets of my heating pad/covers, 1 taggie blanket and several earrings for a total of $155 sales so that's not too bad! I am going to do more shows in the next weeks hopefully with my sisters. I have warned people what heating pads I don't sell will be Christmas gifts, LOL!
Went with the kids to see Megamind and Red, at the Drive-in, had a ball, Charli sat with us until she got sleepy, she spend some time putting change in speaker cover, I told Les we would have punished our kids but thought it was funny with her! She stopped when I asked her too and tried to get it out but said her fingers were too fat, LOL! She also spilled M&Ms on floor but Les will just have to vaccuum! <3>

My MIL helped me at my booth today (she is sitting) she sold 2 scarves, I did better with 3 heating pad sets, 1 jewelry set and 5 pairs of earrings. Several didn't sell anything so I did pretty well. I pray we will have lots more luck tomorrow!
Charli wanted to come to my house but I stayed almost all day there, I told her I would see her tomorrow. She is so imaginative! When I kept her yesterday she said the boys from Big Time Rush, Carlos and James, she told them to sit beside us and she 'cooked' them a meal. She then said she wanted to marry James and when I did the 'Here comes the bride' music she started to prance around, she really makes me so happy! I think she likes them over Justin =0)

I will post my little Cheeseburger when I upload her but here is Ames in his Hot Dog outfit. They were very cute, Charli enjoyed the games at church then they went trick or treating in they neighborhood.
Today I had my treatment, now Les and I are about to go to Susu's apartment, she gave me a wonderful sewing machine that has a quilting and embroidery feature, I am so excited! I also got a knitting machine from her. I may have awhile before I play with that.

Had a nice time at the beach, couldn't do a lot of walking, though. It was humid and the air was too thick for me to breathe so I got so tired! I could not even walk up the beach.
Thursday we took Charli to the Pumpkin Patch at a local church and when I got back all I could do is lay on the couch.
Kept Ames Friday morning for the first time and Les took Charli with him. I have to admit I held him the Whole time!
Thank goodness by yesterday I felt more myself and worked on several taggie blankets and today I have made lots of earrings. Craft show is next Friday and Saturday and we are hoping to do a couple more.

We made over $1800. with our yard sale! We were very busy most of the time, the most expensive think we had was $35 for a PS2 and Guitar Hero Gina donated! Didn't have much furniture or big ticket items, either, sold a lot of coats and children's clothes. We are going to pack up and do it again we decided.
I leave Monday to go to beach for a couple of days. Just nice for Les and I to go, don't plan to do anything but walk the beach and eat shrimp!

Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Been very busy today! Charli spent the night last night and we were Supposed to go to Pumpkin Patch BUT it was raining this morning! It wasn't called for and I couldn't believe it! We took her to the McDonald's Playground and to he Dollar Tree and she got a light up sword to "kill monsters' a bat cat headband and vampire gum dispenser, we will go next Thursday to the Pumpkin Patch.
Then we went over to the church and helped price the stuff for the yard sale Friday and Saturday. It took several of us close to 4 hours but we had a fun time.

Cathy K's Naturally Male

Cathy Krenek has 3 beautiful kits in SBE's U Build It so I made a couple of pages playing with it. I love the picture of Les holding Ames. I haven't scrapped much lately since I am making my crafts for the November show but these were fun to do. I have got several calendars to do for Church. I am doing them as a fundraiser for church to help the building fund. Tomorrow I have to go price things for next week's yard sale. I have been very busy lately, LOL!

Ames first concert! Tonight we went to Alive After Five to hear The Fabulous Expressions. Charli wore her dancing skirt and shoes and Ames slept through the music, LOL!

Monday, October 11, 2010

I have been busy making crafts for the show coming up in November. It is still hot here, 86 was the temp today which tied the record according to the news. . Ames is doing good, gained 5 oz from Wednesday to Friday. He is a good quiet baby so far.

Monday, October 4, 2010

This is one of the few times he opened his eye(s)! While getting a bath... They were getting ready to go home as I was going for my treatment. Gina said he slept pretty well, so far he doesn't cry much. I pray that will be true since Charli can't stand to hear it.

Ames is here!

Ames made it into the world last night at 11:44 weighing 6.5 lb. Although Gina had been in a lot of pain before the actual pushing part lasted just a very few minutes. He is a perfect little fellow! Charli can't Stand to hear him cry! She spent the night with Les and I last night but she is staying with her Mommy tonight. My treatment is tomorrow!

It has FINALLY started cooling off! A week ago it was in the 90's and it is still higher than average and we are finally getting a little rain. The grass has been so dry!
Made 3 pieces for the craft fair today. Looked up ideas all day yesterday, I am making baby items like taggy blankets and bibs. What I don't sell can be given as gifts instead of stored I plan to do some Christmas ornaments, too.
Charli's outfit is from Nana 'Laine from church.
I do feel good this week... chemo is Monday.

Gina, Charli and I went to Capri's yesterday for her 24th birthday. That's where she loved to go as a child. Today they rode to Greenville with Les and I and I got fabric to start making things for a Christmas Craft show. Charli showed me how she helped her Mommy wash Ames' bottles, she loves these Pampered Chef gloves Jane gave Gina, LOL!

I am very thrilled to have this page featured on Chelle's Blog!

The kit is Street Smarts by Connie Prince and Chelle's Creations and I love it! Great for all those Sesame Street toys.

Here are a few pictures from Mom's 70th birthday, she really was happy!

Gina went to hospital last night but she is still not dilated enough even though her pains were 5 min apart. I went to get my blood work today and he gave me some cream for my foot. He also asked me about a lung transplant, I (getting on the list) I told him No. There is a lot more than just being on a list including months in an out of state hospital and not being around my grands. Quality over Quantity is my motto!

Wednesday, September 22, 2010

Have not uploaded pictures from Mom's party Sunday or even been on the computer a whole lot. I am reading a Liz Curtis book and looking forward to seeing Charli in the morning. Gina is on maternity leave after tomorrow, should be holding my grandson soon!

Monday, September 13, 2010

Charli dancing uptown Thursday when The Swinging Medallions played. Will post more pictures later. Had a good day, went to Emerald baptist to see Kathie get baptized tonight, she is in the puppet ministry and choir, I am very proud of her.

Saturday, September 11, 2010

Nine years ago I was working at the Wal-Mart Pharmacy when I walked into the backroom and it was on the news about the Twin Towers. All the TVs switched to what was going on so the day was full of sorrow, people couldn't believe that it was happening. I will never forget 9-11-01!
Still feeling a little weak, went to Hancock to get a couple of things and got a country ham biscuit.

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

I have really felt sick today! Dr H changed the way I take my chemo and was a little sick last month but have been really yuck today. Can't even drink a whole Pepsi! Have laid down all day.

Thursday, September 2, 2010

I started off with a great day, Gina's first appointment was canceled so I did a couple of errands and picked up Charli then I mad the mistake of taking Les to his Mom's where his sister showed out. I took Charli and we went to Sonic. She told me she did not like that woman and when she got home she told her Mommy how that mean woman yelled at her Meme. Gina told her she did not have to see her again. I dread the day my Mother in Law passes away, I wish I never had to see my SIL again!
I got home though and Chris Weber had made and sent me a card so my night ended very well! How wonderful that an internet friend from California could have such perfect timing!

Wednesday, September 1, 2010

I do feel better today! Yesterday I could barely walk by the end of the day! My left knee was hurting so badly and that is my good one.
I can watch butterflies from my window since I have my butterfly bushes out there, the zinnias are up front and attract them and hummingbirds, too. Great photo ops, just still a little too hot for me to breathe well out there, though.

A few more art quilts

I started feeling a little better today, slept a lot, cross stitched and watched TV. The doctor's office said all the tests were fine including uric acid so no gout!
These are most of the quilts now, they really motivated me!

More Art Quilts and rambling

Here are more of the art quilts and a close up up my favorite one.
We took Charli with us to the Picnic and singing tonight at church. She enjoyed it.
For the last 3 days I have been in a weak phase with no energy. I am getting ready to go to bed already and it is not quite 9PM. I will get my blood work tomorrow to find out is I still have gout. I usually eat chicken and beef liver when I feel like this but it will make my knees hurt worse. I will just wait to hear what he says and it is allergy time so my coughing is very bad at night and my ribs and back hurt after that. Sounds like I'm complaining but really just trying to keep up with things here. I really am blessed!
Two wonderful men from Mama's church (I grew up there) Roy Pinson and Dan Adams have cancer that is very serious, Dan is in Hospice. Also a 15 Year old girl Lauren Kittles passed away this week end of cancer. I know of two teens laying in hospital beds, one, Scotty, in a coma since his Christmas Eve car wreck (on life support) and another, Ryan, paralized from the shoulders down from a swimming accident. My son-in-law's Dad had his bladder removed this year and his tumor is back so I do feel blessed! Yes, I have only 41% lung function but I can go to church and even walk through Wal-Mart and play with Charli and...
Yes I finally made pages with PSE4! I still have to switch to my old program to do text because it is so much better but I scrapped this week end, the first time this month!
I do face the fact I won't live as long as my Grandmother and maybe not even as long as my Mom but that makes me think about the way I live. I plan on giving a lot of home made gifts for Christmas and leaving my 'mark' and if anyone knows me they can say "I know she is in Heaven because she lived it" I just hope I don't go before seeing more of my family that way.

Zinnias for Kar

I love the different varieties of Zinnias! I planted a circle and sectioned them out this year. We have had a lot of rain lately and they are growing crazy! I need to go out and take a new picture of them!

These are smaller varieties

This is ONE flower!

Art Quilts

We took Charli to the Museum a couple of weeks ago to see a Robot exhibit and I saw these quilts. I love art quilts! The Sunbonnet Sue made me think of my Nanny. She and my Aunt Doll made several of them! I will post more later as I took a lot of pictures of them.
My Photo program is still down and so still no scrapping but doing other things to keep busy. I am working on Seth's Cross stitch stocking and got a lot done yesterday. Les is cutting grass and I am going to close the computer down and work on it now.

Jeremy's Birthday Quilt

It took me several weeks but I got Jeremy's quilt made and shipped in time for his 30th Birthday today! It is far from perfect but he is very happy and that it all that counts! I am going to but my a large cutting mat next month and start doing some quilts. I have an idea for one for Seth and have already bought the stuff a long time ago but need the larger cutting mat for my rotary cutter. Charli already told me she wants a baby blanket, LOL! I have made her several crocheted and fleece already, maybe I will do a small quilt for her...
I texted Jeremy at 3:11, the time he was born and told him he was getting old!

Wednesday, August 18, 2010

I made a Bible cover today and sent Jeremy's gift to him. I will post later because I do not want him to see it at all, not that he reads my Blog, LOL! It was a good day, been raining all week which we need. My flowers are looking great, the butterfly bushes are tall and the zinnias are showing out, too. The heat has been hard on our tomatoes but we have lots of blooms, I guess we will see...

Sunday, August 15, 2010

I finished sewing the patches on my quilt! Tomorrow I will put it together and try to ship it as soon as possible since he will be 30 Saturday!
