This is Brandon Heath and my church is getting up a group to hear him on the 13th. Last year we saw Mercy Me and Mandissa, I am so excited to him Brandon though!

Homecoming went well, the book was a hit Even with the mistakes I made! I was really feeling BAD because I left Trey's name out, my Own sweet son-in-law! I guess as fast as I put it together I am blessed to have as few mistakes as I made! Donna at the print shop said they had done a lot of books but that was the best put together and easiest she had ever done. I know that cut cost a LOT by me doing the set up and it was ready in 48 hours! I might have to post a picture later.
Well I wasn't going to share a picture today But that won't be ME now would it?
The little gold Angel was given to me by my Grandmama because I sit this way and it made her think of me, the day I can't sit down in the floor with Charli and the kids at school I am retiring! Anyway that started me getting Angels from her, my Mom and even my kids, I don't think I had ever bought myself one. The picture hanging is done by Jeremy and is an Angel that looks remarkably like him, LOL! I thank you all for your prayers as he serves our country. I haven't talked to him but once since he is on leave. Like me, my son hates to talk on the phone! Pray he will have a safe trip back and the time over there will pass quickly. He has about 5 months left.

I put away most of my winter clothes today... I really am a little sad to do this. Anyone that knows me knows how much I love to dress for the season! I have to admit I left 3 or 4 of my snowmen shirts and socks out, my 'baby' sister gave me several cute socks for Christmas and the kids love to see what kind I am wearing. I need to get a couple of Valentine shirts, I guess.
I am trying a new banana pudding with Pecan Sandies instead of Vanilla Wafers, I forgot the cool whip though... I have to stop by Walgreen and pick up the pictures to put in my album. Yes, I finished before the coupon ran out! I also got a little cleaning done but not as much as I wanted. The new candle warmer I bought at Hobby Lobby melted the first time I used it!

I love this sign! It used to hang right near my front door, I guess it's packed up somewhere now, When we moved I never have unpacked the things I once had on the walls. Our house is not as cluttered now either. I actually have just gotten up and moving around today and Les was sweeping, I think I am going to neaten my office today before I start working on things, too. It's 45 degrees outside and the sun is shining, I have several things to accomplish...

This picture is from last week, Snowmen was our theme and Annabelle's Mom brought these pretty snowflake cookies and we watched frosty and made snowflake pictures. Today our theme is Winter and we will be playing dress up with gloves and hats. I will let them match them up, too, that will be fun, I hope.
We really enjoy these Fridays, Next Friday I will be doing Birthday cupcakes so they will sing to me, I will love that!

Here are the pictures from the church book of Gina and Charli and Les and I, I ended up using a picture of Trey, Gina and Charli instead, though, he didn't come to get his picture taken so I just used another one, I do like this one, though, she has her Birthday Girl dress on.
All she did was basically sleep yesterday, we always take a nap and she was sleeping about an hour but this week she has been taking a long nap of a couple of hours. I don't blame her today, it was rainy and just a little cool. Great napping weather. She did get excited when she saw Trey and started playing. She sleeps so hot and her hair gets wet and starts to curl. I am glad of that. Grandmama said she looks like Gina.
I am the spotlighted employee this month at work. That's kind of cool, I am blessed with a great boss now and work is fun. Before I was stressed and wondered how I could stay there! Just a personality clash with the director.
I will have a busy week next week, we have revival the first of the week and I have training Thursday. Les and I pretty much celebrated my birthday last Saturday because we are too busy to do anything next week. I have gotten used to Homecoming being right there at my Birthday and I guess Church is the best place to be, the funny thing is last year Les was teaching VBS on his 50th! They did have him 2 cakes and gave him a party though which was great!
Sunday night Jot will be there. He is almost 90 and is one of the funniest and best preachers in this area! I keep trying to get my family members to come hear him but they don't want to get and go to church on a Sunday Night. They are missing the blessing! He drives from Clinton which is about 25 miles away to speak to us. That's something for a man his age! Each time I see him preach I take it in hoping it won't be the last time I see him pull up his pants legs and laugh at himself! He lost his wife in 2008, they were married close to 70 years and every time he preached he would say "Darlin' would you pray for me?" and she would although she had Alzheimer's and a diseased liver. That forever will be in my heart when I think of him!

Had a great day yesterday, I picked Charli up and went to see Grandmama, she hadn't seen her walk yet. Then we came home and took a nap, she thinks she has to sleep on top of me, that's so funny. She lays right down and goes to sleep, though. Gina had to work late and Trey was working on some signs so Les cooked a nice supper and so she and Gina ate with us.
I had to redo the church book a little and add the history. I think the members will really enjoy getting their copies Sunday at Homecoming! I will take it to the printers after work and get them Friday. How exciting to see a book you've done. This is actually my third but the first two were cookbooks I made when I worked at Wal-Mart. One was a fund raiser for Hospice and one for Children's Miracle Network.
My real dream is to do Children's books! I always wanted Jeremy to help illustrate but I don't think that will happen. Maybe I can use my digital skills.

I am now at 151 posts! I am proud of myself for keeping up this year!
This is another of my treasures, Gina started me a Willowtree collection. I also give them to her. It's something that's special between us. She got me this one because I teach toddlers. I am finally finished with the church book! I am so relieved! I spent over 20 hours on it and am so tired! I have a friend, Sheila proofing it for me and will take it to the printers after work.
Well that's it for now!

Jeremy is on his way home today! Of course I won't see him but should hear his voice late tonight or sometime tomorrow, he has a short layover in Atlanta and is supposed to be at home in Washington at 7PM there time.
Had a wonderful time with Charli yesterday, didn't get much done on the book, though! I will have to come home and try to get it ready to take to the printer by 5. I got frustrated last night and went to bed! This is her wearing her Pop Pop's hat while watching TV.

A very different share this morning... I made this in elementary school, why I painted it yellow I don't know but I was only 8 or so. Anyway it's one of my treasures. I am going to do some challenges at Dude's place and scrapping your treasures is one of them, I want to be sure when I am gone things won't get donated to charity if they have a family history. I volunteered at the Faith home and saw important awards and things given away!
Les and I had a nice time together in Greenville yesterday, I got a terrific bible that was exactly what I wanted for $35! That was half price, Les had worked on a truck and made $40 to buy my present, so that worked out well. He also bout me a necklace that spells out "GOD" to form a heart in silver and gold, I love it!
Well going to soak in the tub because I have a tiny touch of a headache and I want to work a few minutes on my book.
Gina has training today so we are going to get Charli and take her to church and keep her today, I am looking forward to that, I just need to have the book ready and loaded on a disc for the printer tomorrow.

Today's Seth's birthday! I am posting pictures from July because Julie hasn't sent me any new ones. It was, "Alexis broke the camera" then she got a new Nikon digi camera, she told me she was trying to email me pictures but couldn't get my email to accept them she I told her upload them to Walgreens but still no pictures. My grandson is a stranger. He started walking on Christmas Eve and she sent a video from her camera phone but it lasted 30 seconds and was so quick I couldn't tell anything. I did look on Facebook and she had a couple up. I ordered a Build A Bear and had him dressed in an Army outfit, it's supposed to get there Tuesday. I hate that it took so long (8 days) Guess MLK day slowed it down.
I still don't know when Jeremy is getting home, he started a group at Facebook called Homebound Artists and put some of his art there so I know he does get some time online, he hasn't emailed me though... what's a Mom to do?

I always get in a good mood looking at Charli's pictures! She already loves to dance and hear music. Here she is dancing with Brobee.
ANYWAY, I am switching today and going in later, I will enjoy not going out in the cold! Hopefully I can get some done on my book!
I finally joined Facebook! I had been putting it off but my Brother-in-law and Trey's Mom asked me so I joined Sunday afternoon. I have found people I went to school with and lots of scrappers. My son even found me right away and that was great! He posted some of his art and I added some that I have hanging. I have most of his stuff still here.
I will have to post more later but am trying to get motivated for working on my book. Twila and Zaroga I hope you are both feeling well!

I am so amazed at how smart children are! Working with toddlers makes me more aware, I guess, yesterday one of my parents dropped her child off and told each of the kids good bye calling their names. Ryan said "Goodbye, Mommy" and Katie said "That's not Your Mommy!" I told them that was Caleb's mommy, Miss Samantha and said each of the Mommy's names. When I told her her Mommy was Miss Pam she said "No, it's just Mommy"
After taking our nap Charli saw that Yogabbagabba was on and she had on these PJ's. She looked down and saw Foofa and grabbed her shirt, I said Yes, that's Foofa and she smiled. A few minutes later I asked her where was Foofa and she patted her shirt. That really made me happy that at 1 year old she could connect her shirt to the TV program! I showed Trey when he came in that she had picked that up. She also knows that I am Meme and has called me a couple of times and when I ask "who's Meme's girl?" she smiles and pats herself.

OH, I realized I didn't share this week's scripture yet, Col. 3:2 Set your affections on things above, and not on things of this earth.

Charli really loves Pinkie, the monkey Les and I made at Build a Bear for her! We put the giggle sound in and it tickles her, she was in a wonderful mood and really showed out for me! I ordered Seth a Bearemy Bear with an Army suit on, I hope it gets there in time! Yesterday was a long day, I worked, kept Charli and then had a work meeting, today is another one, work, Charli then church, not much time to be online or anything else.
It's 16 degrees outside, better warm up my car!

The is the dessert from our work meeting, the head is a mini cupcake. Some of them had hats made of a mini oreo on top of a regular oreo, those were cute, too!
One of my toddlers fell yesterday afternoon and gashed her head. She had to go to express care and have it glued. Miss Amanda is my assistant who was working, she said she had trouble sleeping it upset her so much. Kamryn does love to climb, she was climbing our little slide but had it too close to the heater. She was fine today, just liked to 'show it off'. Miss Emma got Teacher of the Year, she is a wonderful older lady who has the infants, she was a great choice!

January 20, one of the biggest days in the history of the United States and Charli's First Birthday, how cool is that!
I had a blast playing with her last night! Les put some batteries in a couple of the VW toys I had and I let her play with the ones I keep on the bottom shelf. She also ate some grits and toast, she liked the grits, I put cheese in them and ate a whole piece of toast and started on another! She's starting on whole milk now, too and drinking from a sippy cup. What was funny is I was holding her as she was eating her toast and she started trying to feed me and make some silly faces! I made faces back and she would laugh that sweet laugh she has.
That's why I am keeping up with this Blog. I hope one day she will read it and know how precious little moments like this are!
It's amazing to me how she is getting around since she just started really walking Wednesday, she was chasing Tye, our grand-dog, around the house! She was turning around on one foot and really doing well.
I really am behind on my book! I need to focus and get it done, Les will be out of work until tomorrow, that really keeps us behind, if it does snow I will be out of work, too, while I could work on the book I need the money for rent so I hope it doesn't!

ADDED

I am adding this since I just got home from work. Les ended up at the Express Care and had to have several shots and take the gout meds that make him sick. He was so pitiful last night he had to crawl because his feet hurt so bad. He has his crutches today. I am keeping up with his Drs. visits this year, last year it was over 20. I tease him if we did ever come across some money the hospital would get it all!

I just talked to Gina, she might go to the movies when Trey gets off. I would love to keep my sweetie awhile!

Les is having a horrid case of the gout, I hope he can get over it quickly! He was throwing up from the pain!

My Doodle Bug's first Birthday party is today! I got up early and made this card with Pink Beauty by Petit Moineaux, I Love her work! It took me awhile to get this one like I wanted it! my MIL called me yesterday to ask Gina's address to send Charli a card, Gina must have forgot to tell her about Charli's party Or she forgot. I got the answer I always get, "If Papa and I FEEL like it we Might come" My Mom is recovering from surgery and she will be there! I was thinking about how Jeremy forgot to ask my Dad to his wedding (they threw it together quickly) and thought how many things he didn't show up to, his Eagle Scout, birthdays, church events and thought 'no wonder he Forgot' In the end he realized how he had made Jeremy a stranger in his life and it was too late. I am glad he and Gina had a relationship!
But I will be happy to watch her eat her cake and walk across the floor to hug me! I Praise God I can share this day! I have tears as I think about missing Seth's Saturday. I have to stop that, I had to wear make-up so I can have My picture done for the church book today! I waited while my face healed from having a spot removed by Dr. Henderson 12/31.
Well off to church I am going to set up the room and let the kids solve a 'crime'. A scavenger hunt, I will let you know how it works out!

Blue's Clues

I really love my job! On I started this year off with a theme party on Fridays. Yesterday was Blue's Clues, we also had Teddy Bear day and a Block Party. We do fun things centering around the them, here they are writing in their handy Dandy Notebooks. Caleb was dressed like Steve and the girls and I wore blue. Ryan and Katie didn't come and I missed them! We also took Blue's for a walk and visited the "Grandma's and Grandpa's" which is what we call the seniors, and went to see the babies. I look at these kids and know where Charli will be next year, three of these turned 2 last month and I so enjoy listening to them talk and watching them play! Caleb was in a 'yappy' mood and had a wonderful time. When Gina was small she was late in talking but when she did she wouldn't stop so when she was talking faster than I could listen I would call her "Yappy".
If I ever do a cartoon style kid's book that will be my main character!
I saw the lady that kept Gina when she was an infant in Wal-Mart the other day. I had been hoping that I would so that I could show her Charli's picture, she has cancer and really looks bad, Lisa and Donna were with her and it was good to see them.
Well I am up because I needed a sinus pill and since I am going to be working on the church book today I thought I would get this done. I can breath now and my cough is stopped. I can her Les from here, her must have a stuffy nose, too, I think I will go roll him over and go back to bed for awhile!

I am so laughing as I post this picture! Zaroga got me thinking of family and my Papa and how he drank his coffee with Pet evaporated milk out of a saucer. He also put Pet milk in grits, that made them so creamy! That's my Dad with the Carolina shirt, you see he was a Die hard Clemson fan and I am a USC fan, I gave this shirt to him for Christmas and he gave me, my brother and my baby sister chicken bones and feathers! Needless to say Sissy switched to Clemson, she was only about 4! My Papa passed away the year after this, I think. My Uncle James was on a tractor, or bush hog and got into a hornet's nest several years ago and died there, I was never close to him. My Dad passed away Father's Dad 2006.
This is my Nanny, I wrote about her on the 4th, you can see the cloth scraps on the stool in front of her and my Aunt Doll and her dog Rusty. I got this picture from my Dad and it's a Polaroid and needs cleaned up.

Now what's up with this? Cashmere socks! I Love fun socks and Gina gave me this cashmere pair with some wonderful Shea Cashmere foot cream which smells so good! I Love these socks! they are so soft, I wish I could find another pair of shoes like my brown loafers! i got them about 5 years ago and they really show it! I do not like to buy shoes!!! I have very few for a woman and most of my tennis shoes are from Gina. She is like Mama and has a closet full. I remember counting Mama's once in the early 80's and I think it was 60 or so.

My birthday is coming up soon and I need a new watch so that's what Les is getting me but I also want a new Bible. That's a hard thing for me to choose!! I know I want a NKJ and a center column reference. Every one I find is at least $40 and the ones I really like are $60! I am getting to old to get much money for my BD, LOL! I hope I can get to the new Christian Book store in the mall in Greenville. They sell discounted Bibles there. I also can eat at Fuddrucker's my favorite!!

Charli Walks!

When I got to Gina's yesterday she was in a bit of a tizzy, while she was in the shower Charli sat in her walker and made a Big mess! It was running out her diaper and on the floor. Gina had put Charli in the tub and dressed her when I came in. I was talking to the baby who was standing there while her Mommy cleaned up and she decided to start walking! She was proud of herself, too, and seemed to know how excited we were! When Trey came in she walked to Daddy but a little slower than before. It was so funny!
Her party is Sunday. My Mom thought Gina should have in at a restaurant but I like the idea of having it at her house where I can get good pictures and she can make a mess with her cake! Twila it's at 2:00. I can't wait to see her cake. One of Gina's customers is making it. She is doing a Princess theme and has the most precious dress! Gina and Trey got her one of those portable DVD players and Horton Hears a Who and Yogabbagabba DVD's. She hopes that's what people will get her as gifts because she hates clutter. Les and I went to Build a Bear and got the pink monkey but that's my limit, No more stuffed animals for gifts. Not that's she's fanatical or anything she just doesn't want dust and allergy problems. She is pretty smart really. As you can see by the pictures her floors are nice and she keeps a clean house: she Sure didn't get That from Mom!!
Well I will post some new shots later but it's time to go!

In June we have a flower festival you might want to check out, Google Greenwood Festival of Flowers. On Saturday they give tours of the experimental gardens at Park Seed. You would Love it!

Charli was in a fabulous mood, I got some wonderful pictures to post later! We played hide and seek and she was just full of the giggles! We had a good nap after that, She sleeps on my chest after Yogabagaba goes off and I love holding her!

My friends from church came over last night, Les fixed Kevin's truck and we had Italian Soup. I found the recipe in Southern Living and it was so good. Les actually made it Monday night and let it sit in the frig overnight. We are talking about starting a bible Study together. Tim plans on going to Seminary so this would be good for him to lead. I so enjoy socializing more than I every thought I would. It's a good excuse to keep my house neater, LOL!

Charli not feeling well!

For the first time and 8 days from her first birthday my baby had to go to the Dr. She has a sinus infection and has 2 prescriptions. She had a low grade fever of 100 and a runny nose. How blessed that she has not been sick before this! I am looking forward to her birthday party Sunday!
I so enjoyed the photos on Zaroga's Blog! I do thing it's so great we both love photographing insects! I never knew there were so many wasps and bees out there!
It's such a relaxing hobby to me! We used to have a patch of mint and they were attracted to that. I could sit for hours and fill up my card and go dump it and start all over! I have hundreds of nice shots. I did delete more than I saved, though!

There are so many people out there with broken hearts and troubles, I don't know how they get along with out Faith!
We have a family in the town I just moved from that needs prayers. The father and his 4 year old were riding a go cart Christmas when another child, a 16 year old ran into them on her 4 wheeler. They were all taken to a NC burn unit because the one in Augusta is understaffed and couldn't handle it. The 4 year old is Very Severe and in a drug induced coma, here is the link to our paper it is an online news paper and keeps updating the story.
They are having several fund raisers so pray with me that this child and his family will be blessed and get the help they need. I feel for the young girl Trish. I am sure she has so much guilt!
My best friend Leighanne is having problems, too, her blood palettes keep dropping. She had to take some chemo treatment this week and is feeling so tired! I ask you will agree in prayer the Drs will find the cause and help her. She had a stomach virus and they believe this triggered it. They may have to remove her spleen.
Zaroga, I am also praying for you! I hope you and your family can get straight and have a blessed year!
I am blessed that although my cough is aggravating (I once broke a rib coughing) and it is hard to breathe when it gets cold I don't have any real pains. My hands look like it from the arthritis but as long as I can crochet and make pages I will do fine. I really want a laptop but am concerned if I can use one easily on not.
Well that's enough for today, I hope I have several comments to moderate later, I need to go offline and work on a calendar and the churchbook. I will start taking family pictures at church tomorrow for a directory.

I thought since I was up already I would go ahead and post! I thought I would put a picture from our beach trip today, I was taking pictures of the birds and this one was hurt and he followed my up the beach and got pretty close. We were there in October.
Charli is getting over her stomach thing, Gina said maybe it was more than just teething because Trey was sick and even came home from work yesterday, he Had to be sick because that young man works, he even has a second job a couple of days a week, not because they need the money but, I think, to spend the time with his dad.
Big news in our neighborhood, a couple got arrested and charged with child and animal neglect, they called the law because a gun was stolen and the police saw they were living in filth too nasty to even think about! The girl is 26 and used to work with Les, she is married to a 41 yer old man and they have a 3 year old. Her mother was also bedridden in the house and had not been cleaned up and had dead roaches stuck to her. The women and child were taken by social services. The girl's brother lived there, too, and was charged with the mother's neglect. BTW they drive a Hummer! You never know what goes on with people do you?
Oh, Les's Dad is at the hospital doing a sleep study, Les took him and George wanted to be there about 7:45 or so, the appointment was at 9:00! I hope they can help him.

I got a short note from Jeremy this morning, he JUST got his Christmas packages! I mailed one the 4th of December and one a few days later! That makes me sad he had Christmas with nothing from us! The picture frame I sent him broke, I hope it didn't mess anything up.. I wrapped it in bubble wrap and the sleep pants I sent him.
Mama's cancer wasn't invasive so they didn't have to take her lymph nodes so she will have a faster recover time. I am glad of that!
Well I posted every morning for a week! Not that I have that much to say but I am proud of myself!

My prayers are with my Mom today as she has her surgery! I am going to take my brother to the hospital to meet her at 7:00 then go to work. I am blessed my boss is letting me leave my cell on to receive a text from Sissy when she is out. I am sure she will be OK I will go after I watch Charli this afternoon. She is having a hard time with her top teeth, they are showing just not quite through the skin yet and she is not eating much and very clingy. Her tummy is messed up, too. She didn't even eat a whole yogurt for me yesterday and she usually eats them even if she's not hungry!
Well it's time to go, I picked my new bible verse, Romans 10:17 Faith cometh by hearing, hearing by the word of God.

I am actually enjoying posting in the mornings! I need to get up a few minutes earlier but I move a little slow, LOL! It seems to take so long fixing my meds, I tried putting them in a pill holder but several of them split from the humidity of Les's frequent showers! I need to take them in the bathroom as this is such a habit I know if I move them I won't always remember, after all it will soon be 20 years I have been taking Prednisone!
Well about the picture, it is my nephew Cody playing around in the castle we visited at the beach, I was going to use it for a challenge at SOTB but haven't posted yet. They were slow getting all the challenges up this month and I have been to busy to recheck. I love Dr. Seuss and I wanted to do this as WA. I like the way it turned out. I made the gray BG.
They moved Mama's surgery up to tomorrow, I am sad in a way because I keep Charli on Wednesdays, I am going to keep her though and go to the hospital as soon as Trey gets home unless something happens that I am needed. Then Gina will take her to Trey's Mama, I am very anxious to spend time with her right now because she will take a couple of steps and I am afraid of missing her take off walking. She had a runny nose and was whiney from her top teeth last night so I went over and kept her while the kids got groceries. She was so sweet and clingy! Of all the people in the world sometimes it seems she loves me best, I know I love her best!
Well I have to go! I hope I don't have too many mistakes this morning because I don't have time to check!

I thought I could take a breather with making all those books when I realized I had to do the Church Book! Homecoming is Feb. 1 and I do the book every year! We are getting together a Members Book too and next Sunday I will start taking family pictures of the members I hope I can get most of them so no one will be left out!
Bud said something last Wednesday that has been on my mind and I did my Children's Church on it yesterday. Someone told him they were an Average Christian and he said how that bothered him. He's so right! I read Hermie the Common Caterpillar by Max Lucado and told them how they shouldn't settle for "C"s in school and for being average as a Christian!
This year I will be above average as a follower and hope others will do the same. It's easy for me to go to church every Sunday and on Wednesday nights but I will spend more time this year learning the Bible and hope that too will be a part of who I am... an Above Average Christian.
