The need for speed! Today I practiced my speed in photoing hummers. This is a real weakness for me! They didn't mind me outside either, I just had to watch as they whizzed past my head!
I am stuck on the bird at the top, at first glance I thought another finch was at my feeder then I saw the top tuft so thought it looked like a cardinal now I am not sure what kind he is, he had beautiful golden browns and red and that top 'hairdo' he stayed a long time watching the hummers fight and posing for me.
As soon as I came in the rain started. It has not slowed the hummers down either, I put out anther feeder but they are bumping into each other and having a good time!
We have a picnic and singing tonight at church at 6:00 so I will be leaving for that.

I found out today that a girl who belonged to me church a couple of years ago has died possibly of a stroke. This is Dana on the left beside Gina at VBS in 2007. She has 4 kids 2 teen boys and 2 small girls who are young. It is sad, the kids have been in foster care for a short time.

Now to the pleasant! I have been enjoying watching the hummers play and been taking a few pictures! I have my window up right now so they will get used to me taking their pictures, one likes watching me. Les is happy that the dominate one is using the feeder he made to guard the feeder, LOL.
Trey said he had to have 3 nurses hold Charli to get her shot yesterday. He took her by himself, she is in the 75% on height so she is taller than 75% of kids her age but in the 10% in weight so Gina needs to give her an extra Boost a day. The other morning she woke up while Trey was getting ready and Gina told him to give her a Boost instead on milk and she looked puzzled and took them "Want Milk!"
I wish she would eat more!

I am planning my garden for next year now. I want to get my beds laid out and planned. I have lots of Zinnia seeds and am going to do a FRIENDSHIP GARDEN so if you want swap seeds pleas let me know. Most of my lot is sunny.I have petunia seeds I got from work and a promise of Four o'clock seeds. The idea is not really mine but Debbie Phelps and I think it is awesome!
Jeremy and I finally talked last night. They did not save enough money to came home for a visit and for the next few months he has it real easy and is going to get some classes in. He wants to take up Photography. I am telling you he is so much like me that it is not funny. Dreams of having his own studio.
I won the Honorable Mention at My Life and Scraps so I can wear a badge at least, LOL!

Here are some of the machines working to get behind the church ready for our new social hall. It took hundreds of trucks of dirt taken out since they cut the hill down and are putting a drive beside the church.
Don't have too much to say today, I hope everyone is ok!

Here's another picture of Charli at the computer.
Well I have posted the last page for the My Life and Scraps Contest, I came in third for round 3 and this is the final one, I had to scrap My Passion and use a kit they gave me, I will post more if I do well, LOL
I almost forgot, it looks like Les broke his toe by dropping a case of Pepsi's on it. Typical for my house!

Charli enjoying her and Mommy playing with the laptop. I told Trey he is probably going to complain to Gina what I taught Charli today, LOL! We watched Bob the Builder and I taught her the song and I say "Bob the Builder" and she says "can we fix it!" then she used this on him when he got home. She got a new Cookie Monster toy and a part snaps off and she brought it to us and told us "Cookie" and told me to Fix it, I told her to tell her Daddy and so he went in her room and had to Fix it. Here I am beaming at how smart she is! I can't carry on conversations with most of my kids at work, only one will answer questions and she is 26 months old.
Jeremy is home. I have been playing phone tag and missed him but he talked to his Dad a long time. He is taking classes on coping. I look forward to talking to him!

I am the first to admit I am not on the computer like usual. I am going through one of those phases where I just want to do other stuff. I bought a stack of Birds and Blooms magazines and am going through them and thought I would share a great idea I just saw. A reader took a tomato cage and added plastic plant drainage trays and created a bird bath! So Cool!
Had a meeting at work today, had a nice meal and got a cute coffee cup. Also went to see our deacon who had hip replacement last week, he is doing great. Oh, Magan, one of the girls in my Sunday School class has SWINE FLU, it is going through the schools here.

I love comparing pictures of Jeremy and Seth, I am glad Jeremy is coming home so I can get some good pictures! Our Preacher's wife said he reminded her of Gina but I said before Charli looks like her Uncle Jeremy but they all have a strong resemblance with the blue eyes, blonde hair and the face shape.

I am sitting watching the show I Survived as I type this, I love that program! I do have to turn around and read some so I get distracted, LOL!
Anyway I had a great day. Charli came home with me because she was so sleepy but when she got here she ate and played. Gina went out to eat with my baby sister and her family. She said it was nice to eat a meal without stress. Charli is a handful at a restaurant!
I had a wonderful time at church tonight, too, I learned something important.

Proverbs 14:30 A sound heart (spirit) is life to the body, But envy (stress, strife, unforgiveness) is rottenness to the bones (cancer)
He explained how we cause ourselves to be sick and it made so much sense I came home and shared with Les!

I am running very late today! I am trying to upload pictures to Walgreen before 12:00 when coupon ends. I had to do the book for the child so his Mom could take pictures to show to the people Wednesday when he goes to be evaluated. Am just finished!
Leigh Ann and I went yard saling today and I got a car seat for $5. I am proud of that. Got some Birds and Blooms magazines, too.
When I said Jeremy was coming home I meant back to his home in Washington. I am hoping he can get assigned to the east coast so I can see Seth! No word yet.

JEREMY TO BE HOME IN 48 HR!

JEREMY SENT ME A NOTE ON FACE BOOK. HE WILL BE HOME IN 48 HOURS!

It was 29 years ago that my wonderful son Jeremy was born! I just want to say Happy Birthday, I love you and I miss you!!
He says on Face Book he will be coming home soon but I have no idea when. Julie said they can now put in a request to be closer to home. I wish they would. It would be nice to know my DGS!
Well I ended up buying a new planner yesterday, I keep every year so I can transfer birthdays at least. I have a terrible sense of time so I need a planner. If I don't write it in my planner I will probably not do it, LOL!
Work is better this week, one of my little girls cried most of the morning. She had a bad runny nose so I guess she didn't feel well. I hope her Mommy will take her to the Dr.

Charli is now 19 months old. I have an advantage because I can compare her to other toddlers and can see her progress, she is getting tall. This is not a clear picture because she moved and I had the flash off but she is about 34" tall. This is the shirt I brought her today, She Loves 'Bob Bob" and she and I watch it and she sings along with the theme. Also she sings Old McDonald a little, the Barney theme and Jesus Loves Me. She will keep repeating Jesus over and over and I had her in the car a couple weeks ago and a Praise song was repeating 'Jesus' and she started singing with it. So cute.
I am trying to learn more about Autism just in case the child I am concerned about has it and found this great article. I was sitting beside him at nap rubbing his back and I notices even when I first barely touched him he he shivered. He follows kids around and likes to lay on them and will take one child's soft blankie and lay on the floor with his face on it. He doesn't take his shoes off like the others either. I have started learning about autism. My mission is to help him with what I can. He turned 2 this month and he has said 3 words, Mama, Daddy and Nanna. His hearing is fine and he will be starting speech soon. They are going to evaluate him next week and I am going to write up my observations. I will start working on a scrapbook called Through the Eyes of Mason. I want it to be positive yet show he needs early intervention.
I enjoyed my class again yesterday! It is so much better to have 6 younger kids! My youngest will be 2 in November so they are still all older than Charli. I need to work on my little Swiper! When she takes a toy I keep repeating Swiper Stop Swiping and use time out. This is a Dora character, a little fox who is a thief, LOL!
I am not starting out my day happy, though, I went to get my CF-Pepsi and there were 2 bottles that had been opened and so I didn't have one to take my pills or to take to work, I know I didn't do that but I am sure Les will deny it... might as well have teenagers around! Got to stop at the store.

Prayer Request

Today I ask for your prayers. I have misplaced my Planner and it is driving me nuts! I keep birthdays of family and church family, all my To Dos and important notes and am lost without it!
I most likely took it out of my pocketbook when I was going to see Charli because she likes to see what I brought her and loves to take it out and play with it so I take it out first. I have looked in the van and my bags several times. Pray I will be guided to find it!
I was so exited yesterday to have a couple of 'conversations' with Charli! She is responding to my questions and is so funny! She really slept so I took her picture. I finally picked her up and held her since she slept so long. She cried after Les when he stopped by to see her before work. It made him sad yet he was happy she missed him... I know that feeling!
Cliff is doing well after his hip replacement Monday, will find out more tonight.

Tuesday, August 18, 2009

Since I am up I thought I would go ahead and post. I just typed my letter to my new parents. This is a picture of the girls swapping shoes. They do this most mornings so I have to remember which are whose to put in the cubby at nap. One of them is moving up along with my biter! I will keep 3 of my kids and 5 are moving up. I have been sanitizing my toys and room and coming home and cleaning. Les had to take off some time from work and steam cleaned my floor with Gina's Shark steam mop. Man, that thing is nice! He told Gina that would make a great Christmas present to her Dad, LOL! It is nice to walk across the floor and have clean feet!
My gathering went well, my house is small for all the people, though! We had a new member, Angel, plus the men came and talked to Les and there were kids so there wre 17 plus Les, Jeff and I here! It didn't take me but a few minutes to clean back up and my house is spotless except for the bedrooms, LOL! Need to get Les to get rid of clothes there.
Well I am going to lay back down and try to nap, want to try to get there a few minutes early and I have to be at Gina's ASAP because she has a 1:30 appointment. Looking forward to the day!

I was upset this morning when my Blog list was clear! I hope it was a glitch of some kind! I like to see who has updated and read from there when I am in a hurry!
Any way I am excited about having the Women On Mission group here tonight! We are grilling hamburgers. I am proud we have fresh tomatoes, too. May not have computer time much, have to dust my VW's and get a few things done.

Sunday, August 16, 2009

Today was a nice day! After church Gina and Charli came over and brought KFC grilled chicken over and she and Les went to see "Orphan" while Charli and I played and took a short nap. We then went to see Les's parents a few minutes before church.
At church Bud shared this scripture...

John 6:46 Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do the things I say?

I have thought a lot on that verse, I think of all my family and friends who claim they are Christians but don't bother to spend any time in God's Word or with the Family of God. I am praying especially for one who calls me a 'Holy Roller' because I stand up against the way they live and I go to church often. I am standing on Col 1:9 and I am praying for wisdom and spiritual understanding. I guess people think because they get baptized they are safe but how are they doing what Christ Commanded? I know maybe I am sounding like I am back on my soapbox but this bothers me, I see parents putting things ahead of Church and why would their kids want to both? I thank God my kids have church homes AND GO, Jeremy has chapel and enjoys talking to others who are different faiths. I do wish my SIL came more though.
ANY WAY pray for those around you who are not faithful!

Check out THIS site! She had some great ideas for gardeners, crafters and getting seeds. I am getting seeds from my Zinnias and now Petunias. This site really helped. Several ladies from work want some seeds and I have plenty.
Going to be busy today. Les is off and we are Cleaning... Fun, fun, LOL!

It's she just too sweet! Watching Yo Gabba Gabba with all her friends, she has all the characters and can tell you the names, too! When I say she is smart I am not being Just a proud Meme but I can see her as a teacher, too! She honestly has a better and plainer vocabulary than some of the kids I teach and they are all older! She wouldn't wear the hat for Gina and so I asked her to please wear it so I could take her picture and so here she is, I showed it to her and she got tickled.
I finished Rick Warren's book A Purposed Driven Life and I tell you every Christian should read it! I am going through it again because he points out things that really touched my heart! We are talking about having a group study on it. My Grandmother and I think my Mom did at church. I highly recommend this book!

I found this link for a free Photoshop course and wanted to share. I have PSE4 and can't figure it out to make a page! I finally can drag one onto other but there are too many steps! I am used to chosing my files and drag drop and add show, Easy Peasy! I had 4 Books and have watched videos for 2 years now and can't do it!
I worked very hard on this page for a Contest at My Life and Scraps, it had to show Transitions and points are awarded for fonts, colors, arrangements and journaling. I used the My CT Rocks which was a designer Collab gift. The tear is from Kara Perrien's Blog. I am now in second place, only 2 points behind so I had to put a lot of thought into it.
Got several kits to work right now Plus have to get ready for my Woman's group Monday night.

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

I was happily surprised to see that I got LeiOut of the day at Scrapable with this page yesterday! I used Cathy K's U-Build it pieces at SBE usually to get this honor a kit sold there wins. The pictures are some Trey or Gina took on their vacation.
I had gotten LOD at Gotta Pixel last week for my round page I did for the DSA CT challenge but we did not make the final cut this week at DSA. BUT I am in second place at My Life and Scraps which is awesome. I do not know why I have done more challenges lately but it helps get my designers kits out there.

I wanted to share a special song today, I hope you like it as much as I do! My friend Tim plans on singing it for me at church.

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

So it was Saturday and no make up but here is Charli and me. Les is not a photographer but you can see my short hair and new glasses which no one has noticed yet, LOL!
I am not as happy now, I got my new class list and I Still am going to have my biter, my pincher and my special baby! Plus since 4 are 2 I will still have instead of 6! Two new kids started taking the spaces of the next 2 to go up so I have to deal with all 3 of these Plus new kids who I don't know and are younger. I am so praying things will change because I really am upset! My biter came in and with in 5 minutes bit a little girl! I want my sweet babies back!

Monday, August 10, 2009

I enjoyed making this page with Garden Girl's Memory Lane which is part of the 3S Club kits here is the link for the torn papers, I am keeping pretty good records through this Blog and my scrapbooking, she is now really starting to talk. Some of favorite words have to do with the characters of Yo Gabba Gabba her favorite show. She is really into music and dancing, too.

This should be a good week since 2 of the kids are on vacation and one moves up today! Next Monday will be the time when everything shifts and I get new children. I should be back to six kids, too.

Sunday, August 9, 2009

It was too hot for Charli and I to play long at the park yesterday! The playground equipment was almost too hot to touch so she and I ended up going to Dairy Queen.
I used both Primarily for Artists and Primarily for Kids by Garden Girl Designs for this page.
I do not do well in the heat, I read that Flaxseed oil helped with the hot flashes and sweats so I started taking it again, I also got my hair shorter and it seems to be some better.
Service was great this morning and tonight, it was John 16, I wasn't aware that it was 12:15 when he ended!
It is late and I am watching the show I Survived, I really like it.
