Gina and Trey came over and did some yard and house cleaning for us! She is the Best daughter! I have put several videos on my YouTube channel of the Mud Bog. will share later.

Charli helped her Pop fill the bird feeders this morning, I had to take a nap, he called the nurse and she said I will be weak and tired for a couple of weeks. I am going to get some vitamins and make sure I eat plenty of red meat ahead of time next month.
We took her to the mill pond to feed the ducks next, I will add pictures later. Eating a bowl of beef stew now and watching Little Bear, in a lot better mood!

I am the first to admit I am not on the computer like usual. I am going through one of those phases where I just want to do other stuff. I bought a stack of Birds and Blooms magazines and am going through them and thought I would share a great idea I just saw. A reader took a tomato cage and added plastic plant drainage trays and created a bird bath! So Cool!
Had a meeting at work today, had a nice meal and got a cute coffee cup. Also went to see our deacon who had hip replacement last week, he is doing great. Oh, Magan, one of the girls in my Sunday School class has SWINE FLU, it is going through the schools here.

Good afternoon! It's after 3 and I am just getting home. I talked to Gina and she needed me to meet her at the Dermatologist because a rash she had really was getting worse. She has an infection so needed a couple of antibiotics, her system has been a little wacky since she lost the baby. I also got to pick up my new glasses which made me happy!
This is one of my squirrels eating fruit loops from the feeder Les and Jeff made me, they keep knocking the top off and Les hasn't attached it right. The feeder beside it was meant for birds, it's Les' design using PVC, twigs and coke caps, he covered it with fiberglass and it looks like a branch, the caps look like knots and he put peanut butter in them. No birds but the squirrels had a ball!
I got an 8th child at work today and wouldn't you know, she's aggressive! She kept walking up and pinching kids and even had one boy on floor hitting him in face! I hope she will put me back down to 7 in the next 2 weeks when school starts back! (I can have 8 but my room is crowded) I tripped over a cot and hurt my right arm while I was trying to throw the leftovers to the birds and get the girls to stop standing on the cots. A few extra bruises, there, LOL!
Well, I need to get the dessert for my WOM group made, hope you are having a nice day!

I took a picture of Charli's frogs to share with you. They are really cool, have a balanced environment so you only change water twice a year and they eat the tiniest amount of food. They are supposed to live a couple of years.
This is Charli's sleepy look, I know as soon as she does this she will go right to sleep, Her other Mema can get her to eat but she only takes quick naps. I can barely get her to eat but she lays on me and sleeps well. Yesterday she slept 2 hours, I sometimes wake her so we have time to play!
Looking out my window I have just seen 3 young Titmice! I usually have a pile of young finches, I got another tube feeder and had to buy another Hummer feeder because my squirrel friend broke my other one by making it fall, the hummingbird is there right now.
Well must get ready for work, I usually do not dread going to work but this new class are too aggressive and a bunch of bullies! Two of the girls constantly fight! I have a biter, too, My director said at the end of August they will probably all go up, I hope I can stay sane until then... glad this is a short week!

I got kind of tickled to see this at my Hummingbird feeder! I still don't have but a single hummer coming by, I hope that will change, Last summer I had several fighting over the feeder. Maybe it is a little early yet.

I only had 6 kids yesterday because Hunter was sick, I hope he feels better today.

The young birds are at my feeders now! What a fun time watching the parents feed them, too! I just wish I could share with Charli, I can just imagine her pointing and saying "LOOK!" I got several great shots!

My FIL came home from the hospital Friday but he is not in his right mind at all. I feel bad for Les as he gets upset everytime he calls or goes to see him. At least Jeanette is staying with them for a few days.

I am looking forward to seeing Gina's house today. Trey took the wrought iron down and replaced it with wood rails on her front porch for Mother's Day. I am ready for my love from Charli, too, LOL!

I got these pictures of a mockingbird and a brown headed cowbird the other night, the cowbird had his mate but the pictures are not very clear. Last night a titmouse landed on my feeder but was gone before I got my camera.

Charli really had a fit when I left her yesterday! Made me want to stay with her but Trey had errands to run and I had to be at church at 6:00. She was extra loving toward me so I guess she was just in a "Meme's Girl" mood. I hope she settled down quickly. Usually Trey is very good at distracting her.

I will be doing several kits for Gem designs, Grethe has been sick and in hospital and I hadn't heard from her in a long time. One kit is a Bar-be-que set so Zaroga if you have a recipe card you want made send me the recipe, LOL! I guess I will get Les to grill something and get pictures! There is also a Wild West kit I like. That will be easy for me.

Les and I went out to fill the feeders up and this little fellow was sitting there peeping at us, Les put a little food on the bar and we figured out he was in distress. When I went back in he was still out there but had moved to my window still. He even guarded the feeders and ran off some bigger birds! I had the best time watching him!
Les and Jeff made me another feeder I will be happy to get it hung up!
My FIL may just have a virus, not gotten a lot of info yet but Les and I don't want to go up there if it is a virus!
Gina got to go in work later than usual so I got to spend time with her and play with Charli. Charli slept late and so didn't take her nap as usual but did get a little whiny and want me to hold her which was OK by me! After Gina left she climbed up on me and when to sleep anyway, LOL! I love to hold her and I guess she feels comfortable too!

Saturday Les hung my Hummingbird feeder and they started coming up right away! Although the are more timid that the finches which are quickly emptying the feeder I did manage to get this shot!
I usually get a big bag of food at Triangle hardware but I might go to the Co-op and price it, I split it between here and school so it is taking a lot! I know they are supposed to slow down and eat bugs and things but I am so enjoying them!

Les really did a great thing fixing my feeders right outside my window! What close up shots I can get now! The finches are all the time stopping and I have had a few Carolina Chickadees, too. I told him I want to expand and he said he will figure something out.
Last night we had a bad storm! We lost power for a few hours so at 9 we went to bed. The hail really hit but it was not to big. My MIL called and said a tornado hit the hospital but we live a mile from there and it didn't get that bad and the paper said one hit Calhoun Falls which is about 40 miles away so I don't think that was accurate.
I am getting ready to go with Trey and Charli to her first Egg Hunt! I took some eggs over so he could let her practice, LOL! I LOVE the church egg hunt! They have thousands of eggs and I get some of the best pictures!

My Sister sent me this link to a great bird photography video, thanks Twila! There is a great show on PBS that I have seen a couple of times but it comes on Sunday nights while I am at church, I was on the email list for awhile.

This is one I got today I am much better at insects and flowers, things close that I can see to focus better. Maybe at least I can learn some of the birds by name.

Here's one of the pictures I have taken at work. The birds like the fruit I throw out and I love watching them. Things have been pretty good with Kinley adjusting this week, she is so tiny! i will post a picture later. She is smaller than Charli and is a year older.

I have to admit I am not much of a bird person and don't know what kind he is but we have a lot of them around here and I don't know if they are playful or down right mean bt they will chase off a crow and fight in the air!

I started out my day with a training class at work but snapped these pictures before I pulled out of my driveway. After work I rode to the cemetery when my Aunt Doll is buried. I am going to get her some new flowers for the spring.
It has been a beautiful day, in the 70's, I didn't get anything done though, took a good nap but that's it. The training was teaching kids Math. It really was fun!
