What are Bubbles for?

I took Charli outside to play with the bubbles yesterday, I guess bubbles mean washing her hair, so that's what she did! I had to rinse it out before Gina saw her, LOL!

Be sure and get on the SBE Blog Train! Here is my friend Cathy K
she has made a cute spring mini kit for you! Here's the preview to this cute freebie!.

I am working on the challenges at 3S to start tomorrow, I am the Challenge Team Leader and will be doing the Scrapture and a new challenge called Scrap Your Treasures. This Bookmark will be a posting gift, it is made from Bohemian Spring by Pyralis Designs. I hope I will have a good response! I lined up some good gifts to give out.
Thanks for reading my Blog! I really enjoy knowing someone cares what I have to say!

These are not very flattering pictures of Charli feeding me her beef stew but I am posting them anyway. Les never gets down to take pictures and since he is so tall I am lucky he didn't cut my head off, LOL! She has a high chair but I didn't bother with it and just sat in front of her, you can tell she got plenty on me but we had fun. She is always trying to feed me, at church yesterday she tried to give me her paci.
You can see my hair anyway. I like it short.
Twila, I am glad you posted your boy doll on your Blog and I am very happy you sold some! He is cute, I hope you can get your sewing room set up! I am glad you came to church yesterday and Cody is feeling better.
My FIL is running a fever, Les and I planned to go over there after we saw my Grandmama but we didn't make it. The wind was cold and making me cough bad so Les went to church alone for the singing. I guess Les will check on him before he goes to work the afternoon.

A card for Kevin

I got up this morning and made a card to take to Kevin from our Sunday School Class, I know it will brighten his day. I also thought it would be a great example to the girls how beautiful scripture is and I have a mini lesson on this one, I had picked up a duck feather when Charli and I went last week, that will work out just right.
Rina creates the most wonderful word art, this is from last week's challenge at Scrapbook Elements, each week we get a new one, it is a PNG file so Zaroga if you ever want to try making a card you can go get it and it will layer on a photo or background and I can help you... or I can make some for you if you send me some photos. I print mine at Walgreens and sometimes I put them on a blank card and sometimes I don't I also can do bookmarks for you and get 2 on a page, I would love to do it for you anytime.
The kit I used is new and called Moroccan Nights by Rina but the feather came from Oh Night Divine and the red flowers, frame and angel charm came from Classic Elegance from Kimmi Stewart. I like the way it looks, Les said he liked it, too.
Well I hope everyone is feeling well! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and hopefully it will be a gorgeous day! I know I sure feel great and can't wait to see Charli at church!

Ladies Night Out

Today has been a busy day for me! This morning I had a 6 Hour training course, I have to do 15 hrs each year, this was on temperance and an hour was on making books.
Tonight was Ladies Night out, the men cooked, we had grilled chicken, ribs and pork, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, broccoli and coleslaw, we also had several desserts. I said this is when I really missed Les because he usually cuts my meat for me (I have had surgery and locked joins) but his friend Kevin did it for me. Les was not happy he had to work but it seems when he asks off he has to close...
Any way here are pictures of some of the men. This is the 3rd annual LNO, usually the women do all the meals and are very much the strength behind our mission projects and so this is our time. It is a lot of fun, too!
I have not got much else done today! Need to go study lesson for Sunday School and I really need to start getting things in order for my challenges at 3S that start Wednesday but that can wait for tomorrow.
My sweet friend Sheila is still very sick and Kevin from church (he is a special needs young man) is in ICU with lung clots. He has been in the hospital over and over with "pneumonia" and "bronchitis" but it was probably clots all along, it took the right Doctor to care enough to find out instead of giving him meds and sending him home! Please pray for his Mom, Marcia, she is worn out!

My Sister sent me this link to a great bird photography video, thanks Twila! There is a great show on PBS that I have seen a couple of times but it comes on Sunday nights while I am at church, I was on the email list for awhile.

These are some shots I have taken, mostly at work, some through the window and some with the door open.
This is one I got today I am much better at insects and flowers, things close that I can see to focus better. Maybe at least I can learn some of the birds by name.

How could I not be in love with this face! Tuesday I put Gina's headband on her and she grabbed her lamb and started showing out, I don't know who has who spoiled, I have been taking her picture every month near the 20th with this lamb and when she wants me to take her picture she goes to the basket, pulls it out and goes through her poses.
Tuesday and Wednesday she didn't take her morning nap so after I feed her and we play a few minutes I say "are you ready to nap?" She climbs on the sofa with me, gets comfortable and she is asleep in less than 5 minutes. I kind of hate that she takes a good hour and half nap but I do love holding her and watching her sleep! Trey has been getting home early so we haven't had as much play time.
It makes me feel good that she would rather stay in my lap than even play with her Daddy, who she adores, she starts whining when I leave some days.
One of the women at work was talking with me, when you are a parent there are so many things on you that you can't enjoy and see how wonderful your child is like you can as a grandparent. I look at Charli at 14 months and she can point out her head, hair, eyes, nose and other body parts, she can follow 2 step directions, "pick it up and give it to MeMe" and is saying two words together, "Daddy Gone" "Hi, Tye" (my dog) I am sure my kids could do these things but I was too young to know how truly special it was!
I am sure it helps that I am trained to work with kids now and know how to play so they learn more and am very laid back and enjoy her.
Jeremy sent me another link to a video he made of Seth if you want to see it, Les said it didn't look like the baby we saw 8 months ago. There is a shot of the Army Build a Bear we sent him for his birthday. I am going to try to save the pictures off the video if I can.
My brother painted our bathroom and he and I plan to put a border up after work, It is a pretty blue and looks nice.
Well have a Super Day!

POP

Quick post today as it's time to leave for work but this page is Les with Charli. She called him Pop the other day. I used Hippity Hoppity that I put the link to yesterday with Connie's new Pretty Pastel Paper pack try saying that 3 times fast, LOL!
Trey is getting some chain to lower her swing but right now it is perfect for her POP POP to play with her!

Today is my brother's birthday, Les fixed his favorite foods last night since we have church tonight. He is 41.

Have a blessed day!

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

I scrapped the pictures of Charli feeding the ducks Sunday. I used my new kit from Connie Prince called Hippity Hoppity Spring and it's on sale for $1! I had fun making these pages!
Today I have made 89 posts this year! That is more than I did all of last year! I am proud I have stuck to my resolution to post everyday! Of course I don't always have a lot to say, LOL!
Katie ate breakfast with us yesterday, it was her first day in her new class but she was so upset she came to my room first, I hated to see her crying! Kinley did great and Hunter was was a pretty good boy, I think he will do better with the older girls gone.
I finally got some flowers for the cemetery and plan to put them up after I get home from Charli's.

Monday, March 23, 2009

I haven't uploaded the pictures from keeping Charli yesterday but we did walk up to the mill pond to feed the ducks so I am posting a picture I had taken before of some turtles eating the bread. At first the goose made her nervous but I ran him off and she was sticking the bread through the fence for the ducks and giggling. We had a good time, she found a couple of dandelions and thought they were great! I showed her how to blow them but she got a small piece in her mouth and so decided she would rub it against the fence (from feeding the ducks) and they would fall apart.
She really wanted to hug Tye, I would hold his head so she could love him. I was playing and spun her around and he barked thinking I was hurting her, I guess.
She loves grilled cheesesandwiches and Easy Mac, she is eating pretty good.
I am impressed how well she follows direction! I even told her it was time to go take a nap and she went straight to my room and waited for me to put her on my bed! I think my brother was even impressed.
Well that's enough for now! Hope you all have a blessed day!

Cliff's card

This card is for one of the deacons at church. Each year I give him a card on his birthday which was Wednesday, I am just late this year... Everything is by Natali at Scrapbook Graphics, she is one of my favorite designers! I took the photo last year at Park Seed.
If I designed I would want to create elements like hers!
Les has to work today and I am not happy that is two Sundays in a row, Plus I have Charli today. He also has to close Saturday night and that is bad because it's Women's Night out at church. The men are cooking a wonderful dinner and we dress up and they serve us! This is our 3rd year and what fun it is! Without Les it will not be as fun, though.

If you love Word Art stop by Debbie's Blog and get some today!

Cat in the Hat

The pictures today are from our Cat in the Hat day except this one of Ryan dancing with Kinley, I wanted you to see how tiny she is. She was 2 Jan. 10 so she is a year older than Charli but smaller! She is wearing 6 to 12 month size while 12 months is now getting too small for Charli and Kinley's legs are so small!

I love the shirt Caleb had on! He and Ryan are reading Green Eggs and Ham.

Here is what I did to decorate, that's the Cat and the fish up there and some of my books and Things 1 & 2. You can see our schedule here, too, I have arrows to show days of the week and what it is time for, here the arrow is on story time. It is to help kids know what comes next and develop a sense of time. Also there are shamrocks at the bottom which was our shape we were learning. They are numbered and laminated and I would hide them and the kids would find them and I place them back in order counting the numbers and if one was missing I say, "we need the #3" and they would look until they found it.
These are concepts I learned in my training about teaching Math

These are the cute treats Hunter's Mom made us with vanilla wafers and gummy life savers! They were Good!
Well, that's today's share. Monday the class will look like spring-time, I already took down the shamrocks and small Cats and fish I had hanging from the ceiling and put up the flower shapes. I have a couple of bees, bunnies and ducks to put up top and books about spring.
I got the results from our Parent survey questions. 75% satisfied and 25% very satisfied, I was proud of that, had very nice comments written, too.
I just have to remember this next time Hunter hits Ryan in the head with a block, LOL!

I joined a new site called Digiscrap Addicts so I was going through some of my pages from last year and thought I would post these of Charli being born. The kit is
A Little Whimsy by Lauren Bavin
I was in the room and did these pictures myself, that was so Awesome! I will post some more later. I actually came home and made these for her so she could have them at the hospital!

Today at work is Cat in the Hat Day! I got a red and white striped shirt and might wear a hat, I don't know I am not a hat person. I am looking forward to it.

OH, Les did get his boot off, it is now in a cast for 3 weeks. They are also taking his uric acid levels and getting it looked at by a Kidney specialist and watching a growth on his leg. I think om and I scared him talking about Mersa looking like a spider bite. If it festers he has to go get a biopsy done.
That's 3 for 3 months and an appointment for next month...

Sometimes Charli really shows out, LOL! I made this page for a challenge at SBE, they give you a title and you make a page, I used Flutter Free and a glitter overlay by Rina and Content and Somebody For me by Kimmi because I wanted to match her outfit.
I was going to keep her Saturday night but Gina asked if she could move it to Sunday because she has a wedding party Saturday and it will be after 4 when she gets off. I told her that was fine. I hope it will be pretty and maybe we can do something special like go to the park. I am sure we will go see Les's parents.
I need to get a picture of my 'new do' up. Gina cut my hair short and I have gotten so many compliments on it! Even one of the men from church last night said he liked it. Les has said several times he does which is really special because he likes long hair - and red. She did put some color on it, she says it's to make it 'glow' I let her do whatever she wants because I know she doesn't want her Mom to look bad, LOL!
I guess I will find out later if Les has to walk around several more weeks with that boot on or if his foot has healed. I am aggravated that the Reclast IV I got for my bones cost over $3600.00! After insurance paid I still owe $672! I am going to have to tell my Dr I can't afford that every year, that's CRAZY! Just to avoid a broken bone, I can't take the pills because they make my reflux worse.
Well off to play with my babies!

Wednesday, March 18, 2009

Here's one of the pictures I have taken at work. The birds like the fruit I throw out and I love watching them. Things have been pretty good with Kinley adjusting this week, she is so tiny! i will post a picture later. She is smaller than Charli and is a year older.
I don't really have much to say this morning, I hope everyone is feeling good today!

Happy Birthday Cody!

Happy St Patrick's day!
Today is also my nephew Cody and my SIL, Trey's birthdays.
This is one of my favorite pictures of my nephew, he and Jeremy playing on the beach, he's now a teen and I don't see him very much. I was trying to remember the last real conversation we had... he knows all these trivia facts about animals and wants to write books kids want to read when he gets older. I always tried to be a good listener for my nieces and nephews. I have seen him at church 2 or 3 times this year and at a couple of restaurants but I don't think I have talked to him really since last fall when we went to the beach. That's a shame!
Cody if you read this Aunt Me loves you and misses you!
and
Happy Birthday, Sweetie!

Monday, March 16, 2009

I have to admit I am not much of a bird person and don't know what kind he is but we have a lot of them around here and I don't know if they are playful or down right mean bt they will chase off a crow and fight in the air!
Jeremy sent me a link to a video he made of my DGS Seth! It's HERE on Youtube. I really enjoyed watching it.
Well off to work and my day with Kinley as my new child.

Charli and Tye

I got up early this morning and made these 4 pages with Perfect Paws by Lindsay Jane I know I am going to use this kit a lot! I posted it at Scrapbook Bytes not realizing it had been over 2 years since I posted there, I almost wanted to deleted the pages I have there, LOL! They look pretty pitiful!
Any way I took most of these pictures last night while I was playing with Charli. We had such fun, I had laid down at 9:30 with her and she was heading to sleep but then got a playful streak and when Gina came at 10 she was ready to play! Maybe it was that half piece of chocolate I gave her? She ate Beef stew great and shared a yogurt with me and then the piece of Valentine candy. I do have to be careful, Gina limits her sugar and gives her fruits and vegetables.
It's raining and cold and Les is at work but I am going to service tonight. I have enjoyed the messages so much lately! Wednesday night he started a new study Finding Favor with God. At 70 I guess Bud feels he doesn't have as long to preach and his sermons have really taught me so much! In winter I miss some Sunday nights when Les works because I don't see very well when it's dark so since time has changed I don't have that problem. I don't know how people can cope with things in life with out a church family. We have a group on Ning and Yahoo and we share via our cell phones when people need prayers. This week alone one of our young women was in a wreck and broke her knee cap in half and her Mom texted us when she came out of surgery. another had a new baby girl Thursday McKenzie Reese Ferqueron. Angel will be OK, she didn't lose her kneecap but it will be slow healing and she is a nurse and you know what they say about nurse making bad patients!
Well off to post these pages and sent Lindsay Jane a Thank You note.

Saturday, March 14, 2009

I am just getting up this morning! It is unusual that I can sleep in anymore but I was sleeping so good! I have a lot to do today, I want to sew a little and get the house neatened up because I am going to keep Charli while Gina takes Trey out for his Birthday. My SIL and nephew both have St Pat's birthdays, Trey and his family don't do much celebrating and he just wants a quiet night with Gina, no party or big deal.
I finished up the book I was working on for Kamryn and sent it to be printed, that's one thing off my To Do list for the week end, I also sent through the labels to label the toys in my class.
One sad part of my job is children moving up and Monday two of my Princesses will start transition, Katie and Annabelle. I am so going to miss them! They are so smart and such a joy, I am really attached to them! I will be getting Kinley who is the great-grand-daughter of one of our teachers, that means I have two children whose grandparents work for the Center. Annabelle still cries some mornings and I hold and comfort her, I will miss that, too. Most of mine don't have trouble coming in and some mornings she just comes in happy and ready to play. Now about this picture. I am a member of Digishop Talk which is the busiest scrap site there is. I am blow away at how many people are there and the talent of the people, too! I have to post there because I am part of Rina's team but so many times the pages posted are not even viewed I learned that you have to be very active and comment to have your pages seen and play the Praise game. Any how I was looking at a layout by Lindsay Jane who is a great designer and I LOVED it and told her so and she RAKed me the kit she used! She designs for Scrapbook Bytes but I put a link to her Blog if you click on the image. She has terrific freebies!
I guess I am ready to start my day, it's cold outside, about 39 degrees, so I will take a hot bath and get my laundry started. I hope you all have a wonderful day and here is my verse for this week, I really Love it!

Ps 113:3 FROM THE RISING OF THE SUN, 'TIL IT'S GOING DOWN, THE NAME OF THE LORD IS TO BE PRAISED!

*************************************************************************************

This part of the post is so I can get something off my chest, it's now 11:00 and I have gotten more than half of my cleaning done thanks to Les getting up and helping me but I have had too much time to think about something that is really bothering me!
I was raised not to LIE or call someone a LIAR, I did find out in my adult years that my Dad could tell a few, especially during my parents divorce but that is past, I still hate a lie.
In my in-laws families that is not the same and now one of my in laws is going around saying that Les and I borrow money from her every time we see her and owe her over a thousand $$! Now first off she doesn't work and has to borrow money all the time from my MIL to take the grand to the Dr or go to the dentist, so why would I even Think she had money to borrow? After all Les and I took her family in for months when the kids were small and when she went through her divorce we treated her daughter like she was our own while she lived with us! I guess all the pain medications have messed up her mind and she may be mad at me for telling my MIL that she keeps going to Gina getting her hair done telling Gina she will pay her Friday and that Friday never has come. Maybe she is jealous because I have two wonderful Married kids will good jobs and families and they both finished school and her side is much different!
I admit I owe my sister and BIL so much more than just money and I couldn't have made it through without her and Gina and my Mom because we are doctor poor, (Les goes to get his foot x-rayed and to his GP on the 19th) but I Never have borrowed any thing from her! One reason is she would tell everyone our business... NOW SHE JUST MADE IT UP!
There, I feel much better!

Friday, March 13, 2009

I am doing this Early today, LOL, I got home late because Gina cut my hair and she asked me could she put some color on while she cut her dad's hair and then Trey came and got his cut while I watched Charli. So I had to take a Tums because I ate so late.
Any way Charli sat in my lap while Gina blew my hair dry which amazed Gina because she hates the hair dryer and then she let Gina put her hair in pigtails which is so funny because at home she fights when she tries to fix her hair!
Charli kept looking in the mirror and admiring herself... I wonder where she got that from, ROFL!
Isn't this adorable? This is one of the new things out this weekend for the March madness at SBE, click on the picture and hopefully it will take you there to see the goodies on sale for $1!
Twila, I Know you will think this one is cute!

Well I am going back to bed! Hope you have a wonderful day, Zaroga I loved the new pictures, I am not as good with the birds because I can't see far off as well as I can the close insects, I will keep trying though! Hope the meds make you feel like dancing!

Thursday, March 12, 2009

This is from Gina's camera and I thought it was cute. She is really enjoying the snow.
Today Mama has to have a stress test to make sure her stint is doing well, I asked did she want me to go with her but she is afraid for me too because the chemicals are radio active, she is always thinking of me like that, always putting her kids first.
I was showing my boss a couple of new things I have added to my class room and she hugged me and said "I thank God for you everyday," that really made me happy! She is a wonderful person to work for! The training we had talked about having a schedule so the kids know what's next. When I finish I will post a picture.
I hope everyone is doing well!

Summer Sandals

How cute are these? Yesterday was wonderful and Charli and I played in the sand, She loves the outside! I am sad it is going to get cold!
This is my 201st post, I am so proud I have kept this up even if I don't have a lot to say! Jeremy wrote me on Facebook, he loves the figures I posted yesterday and wants them.
I guess I finally found a way he will 'talk' to me and that makes me happy.

I love the Faith Home!

A couple a times a month I go to the Faith Home warehouse and spend time looking for treasures, it is my relaxation and really cost a very little but the money going to help men in rehab learn about Christ. This is what I got today because I was thinking of Jeremy (except the top one, LOL) There were boxes of toys from the 80's He-Man including some hard to get ones, a Thundercat, GI Joe, these Star wars ans Star Trek and the man at the middle bottom is Ghost Busters. I got them all plus a metal travel coffee mug, a scout cook pot and some more play food to add to my collection for $2!
I love a bargain, I actually have the VW purse already but it doesn't hurt to have a spare, who knows Charli might inherit her Meme's love of VW's. I always say they might fight over who Has to take them instead of who wants them. I am a little obsessed!
Yesterday was a wonderful day and I did a little work in the yard. I hope today is too so I can go out and play with Charli.
OH, I almost forgot to share this link!

PLEASE take a look at these! They are AWESOME!
