Friday night Charli spent the night with us and Saturday we spent the day going to Park Seed, the Train Museum and Nelson's Garden. We also did her favorite thing going to see the topiaries up town. She loved the elephant and Gamecock!

These are from the Men's garden in Greenwood. It is a small park where veterans would get together and garden right across from the American Legion Post. Now it is taken care of by the city because most of the men have passed or are too old. Les and I have decided we want to go picnic there one day.
Yesterday was another long day. After work I kept Charli while Gina had blood work to check her hormone levels and then our W.O.M. group at church. I got home after 8:30. I am getting old for these 13 hour days, LOL! I realized I have no gifts for the challenges at 3S!

Last night was family night at VBS and here are the crafts we did. I tried to teach them some art techniques like the wax resist and 'doodle art', We also made a bible treasure box and witness bracelets.
Here is Charli helping water my flowers before I went to pick up my pictures from the Festival Photography contest. I had a hard time finding them because they were all at the bottom, this was the third time I entered but I told Les I would not bother anymore. It costs about $40 to develop, mount and enter them and I don't see how the could be fairly judged or even seen near the floor. I told Les I would just be a sore loser and give up, LOL!
Oh. please pray for our friend, Tim, he woke up yesterday with his face swollen from a sore on his nose and they think it may be mercer.

Here are some shots from Park Seed gardens, The plants were not as glorious as last year but I got some nice shots. The tours on the other hand were not worth fighting the heat! They were small gardens of retired people and a couple were professionally landscaped. I got home and emailed the Festival people.
I loved the heart shape of this sunflower! We got seeds for the white cucumber in our goodie bag and thought this petunia was awesome!
We didn't go to hear the Bluegrass after all, There were thunderstorm watches out and it started raining so we rented 2 movies, Paul Blart Mall Cop and Madea Goes to Jail, very funny movies!

I was so excited that Gina and Trey came home early and we got to take Charli to VBS and then uptown last night! We wanted to hear the Jazz music but they were putting up the stage before 9:00 so we took her around that side of the street to the topiaries we did not see before and the little petting zoo area, she Loved that! Gina was surprised that she stayed in her stroller, LOL, but she does a lot for us she doesn't do for Mommy and Daddy! She was playing with her new shoes making them light up in the middle picture. Well, getting ready for our big day! I want to be at Park Seed early and do the garden tours before it gets hot, there are a couple of yard sales, too, I need a car seat for Charli so I do not have to keep switching out with Gina, I just woke Les up but I have been up since 5:00. I have my batteries charged and my card reformatted so ready to go!

A Day with Charli

A lot of pictures I took of Les and Charli spending some time together after I picked her up yesterday! We went to the library, she loved the books and the puppet show. Then we went to see the topiary display they have put up getting ready for the Festival next week, I had the best time. Poor Les is really having trouble with his back again but some how he held her and L got the pictures. It was so hot my hair was wet so I did not get in any pictures this time. I learned something, Charli can make monkey sounds, I asked how she liked the monkey and she started doing the funniest noises, I did get pictures of that, too, LOL!

Got some good news but I am waiting to Blog when the people that need to know first are told, LOL, I hope I can post pictures tomorrow or so!
These pages are done with Connie's new kit. It is a new Collab from Connie Prince and Kandy Kane Creations
FOR HIM I don't have many pictures of Seth and these were taken last year for Mother's Day so he don't even look like this but I work with what I have!
The top one is for a challenge and I kind'a like it.
Things went smooth at work with the new kids, one was on vacation.
Oh, I enjoyed our Women on Missions Meeting! It is going to be a 'hands on' group where we may clean an elderly member's house or cut the grass or spend some time at the soup kitchen!
I am in charge of membership and fund raising. I already have a great idea. We are going to plan a trip for next summer so we need to have money put aside. The rest of this week is busy, getting Charli when I get off and keeping here until Trey gets off after 6:30. Next week I won't keep her but have Bible School and Festival of Flowers. Doing the Garden Tours and Park Seed. I will post pictures of the topiaries soon!
