LOOK! Word Art Challenge!

I wanted to take a second to share a thread for a challenge and tutorial on how to make beautiful WA by RINA!! I am fussing with my PI program and am having problems because I can't make a page on NSD!! It's just a little storm though, LOL I will figure it out! AND pray for it!

Some pages with Simply Shannon by It'z a Neet Design, Charli enjoyed my flowers and birds. I had a wonderful time with her yesterday and she said bird about 3 times and tried to make birds sounds, LOL! When I kept her Sunday she would stand in my lap to see each time a bird landed on the feeders! I am going to keep her today, too, Gina doesn't have any morning appointments, I am glad to spend more time with her!
At 15 months she is saying a lot of words! She calls Sponge Bob, Bob, says Dora, ball, eat and several other things. I haven't had much time this week on the computer, hope to this afternoon.
Oh, our Preacher is on vacation and our good friend Tim preached last night and will Sunday, it was a fantastic lesson on forgiveness! Looking forward to Sunday!

I thought this was so funny! Charli likes to see your tummy and she says "Gickle, Gickle" then laughs at herself, She is really jabbering now, I look at the kids at work knowing what the next few month's hold!
One of my babies fell today when he was running and hit his head, while I was loving on him I didn't know he had bit his lip and was bleeding on me, after all he had fell on his back! Thank goodness Les was off and brought me a clean shirt! The child fell 20 minutes later and hurt his ear. Thank goodness he had a better day after that!

Here are the roses Les brought me! The Vase is really a Left Handled pitcher a good friend once gave me to remember him by, he was left handed. I treasure it because he died in the early 80's!

I scrapped several of the pictures I took Sunday. I really love this kit by Jeanye AKA It'z A Neet Design at Scrappable called A Little Sunshine. Don't you love the yellow and black/White? I made several pages tonight.
Finally got my picture for the recipe page but I haven't started the page yet, I need to do that since April is almost over!
Les has taken a few days off this week, they have cut their hours so he took some days to have enough hours to pay bills. My week is actually clear other than the usual Charli on Tuesday and Wednesday and church. Thursday out step grand daughter will my 9. I have seen her so little that in July when Jeremy came home she didn't remember who we were when she came over. She is such a funny little girl, her dad has custody of her which means she doesn't see her Mom, my DIL or her sister or Seth her half brother. Makes me sad.

I wanted to add this picture of my first roses that have bloomed! I thought this was my Queen Elizabeth but it is so much more purple than it is supposed to be! I have buds on one in the front yard, too, should get pictures later.
Les brought me home two pick roses, he went over to David's and got them. He also bought me a couple of gnomes to hang in my posts and put up a new feeder for me. He got a lot of brownie points today!

When Charli comes in she is going to head to my office! She knows where her toys are, she also Loves to get the VW's she is allowed to play with. So far she doesn't bother anything she is not supposed to have and she knows the word NO! She says it often enough, especially when she is eating!
Today I have a new child, Katherine, she has been coming to see me in the morning and is excited to come to our class! She will be 2 on May 3rd

Charli played with me while Gina and Trey went to the movies. I was so glad because I was by myself and we had a lot of fun! She found a couple of dandelions, she is so funny because I have to blow them, she won't! She kept walking around the lounge chair so I was singing Ring around the Rosie but she would stoop instead of fall, I will work on that this week, LOL! She thought smelling my flowers was fun but she liked playing in the dirt better! It kept her occupied for quite awhile!
She is sleeping on her Pop's lap, I just wanted to do a quick post and I am going back.

I had a training class this morning, I got up at about my normal time and this fellow had climbed the pole where my feeders are. I opened the window and threw out a hot dog bun so he decided that it would taste good. I am going to get some feeders for the squirrels, too, I saw an idea that you fill an empty 2 Ltr bottle with peanuts in the shell and hang upside down so they have to grab them out of it. Sounds fun!
My training was on Blood borne Pathogens which I have to have every year. It was really pretty good, not boring as usual because the trainer is fun. Got home at 11:00 or so and Les, Jeff and I did some yard work and the boys left so I have the house to myself. Doing some scrapping and have to plan my lesson for tomorrow.
It is a really beautiful day!

Not a Tantrum

I visited Linda at her Blog and got this great WA! The kit is brand new by Emily Farnworth at SOTB called Play Daze and used her new Speech Bubbles The pictures are from Gina. The day I had my hair done Charli sat in my lap and let Gina fit hers so this was taken that day, I think she was just tired but didn't it make a cute page?

I got these pictures of a mockingbird and a brown headed cowbird the other night, the cowbird had his mate but the pictures are not very clear. Last night a titmouse landed on my feeder but was gone before I got my camera.

Charli really had a fit when I left her yesterday! Made me want to stay with her but Trey had errands to run and I had to be at church at 6:00. She was extra loving toward me so I guess she was just in a "Meme's Girl" mood. I hope she settled down quickly. Usually Trey is very good at distracting her.

I will be doing several kits for Gem designs, Grethe has been sick and in hospital and I hadn't heard from her in a long time. One kit is a Bar-be-que set so Zaroga if you have a recipe card you want made send me the recipe, LOL! I guess I will get Les to grill something and get pictures! There is also a Wild West kit I like. That will be easy for me.

Les and I went out to fill the feeders up and this little fellow was sitting there peeping at us, Les put a little food on the bar and we figured out he was in distress. When I went back in he was still out there but had moved to my window still. He even guarded the feeders and ran off some bigger birds! I had the best time watching him!
Les and Jeff made me another feeder I will be happy to get it hung up!
My FIL may just have a virus, not gotten a lot of info yet but Les and I don't want to go up there if it is a virus!
Gina got to go in work later than usual so I got to spend time with her and play with Charli. Charli slept late and so didn't take her nap as usual but did get a little whiny and want me to hold her which was OK by me! After Gina left she climbed up on me and when to sleep anyway, LOL! I love to hold her and I guess she feels comfortable too!

I got the bright idea of adding this picture of Gina with my picture of Charli, I like the way it looks! I used Squeaky Clean by Garden Girl Designs.

I like comparing the pictures of Gina with Charli, I would love to do Jeremy and Seth but, you know...

My 'Wild Child" was very good yesterday so I had a fun day at work! I have to pray for him daily because he is never the same, he was loving and sat in my lap much of the day but he is just as likely to pick up a toy and pop a child in the head. His temperament is opposite of mine so I have to watch myself.
Robyn told me her last day is Thursday, I am very sad but due to budget cuts her job is being cut out!

We had our VBS meeting last night. As always, I am over crafts, Sheila is helping me.
Oh, my Mom called us all to say she was disappointed that we didn't remember her anniversary, LOL! She married my Dad 51 years ago But she has been divorced since the early 80's!

Les called me, his Dad has been taken to the hospital and is in Critical Care, will find out later how he is.

Yummy Yummy

I am just getting around to getting these pictures off my camera but this was taken last Tuesday. Charli wasn't eating much and after she woke up I said "Charli, let's go find you something to eat." As plain as day she said, "Yummy, yummy" I was so proud and said, "yes, let's get you a yummy," and let her choose from a couple of things and she picked a fruit bar and held it up and said, "SNACK" I was beaming with pride!
Just wanted to share and remember this!
TODAY she is 15 months old!

After the storms and Flowers

After the bad storms last week we had so many trees uprooted. I got a few shots around town. This part of Grace was blocked off because a huge tree blocked the road
It didn't bother the poor tree near the hospital, I hate looking at how they massacred it around the electric lines!!
This was the tree at the hospital and below is a lot they are piling up some of the trees and limbs. I wish I had gotten pictures of the Children's Home but they cleaned it up quickly. It was very bad. Several houses were hit all around town. The last one is a house above the hospital that a tree fell across the street and hit, I really wish you could see the roots on these pictures!




NOW here are some of my plants. I planted things to attract humming birds and butterflies. I have a section with zinnias which are my favorite. They surround my butterfly bush. I put bee balm near two of my roses. The one I was most concerned about has 2 buds!
At the front with my other roses I put red and purple Verbena, Phlox, Dianthus and purple Petunias. I also have some Pineapple mint and other mint I brought over from my old house.
I put a Blue Angel Columbine at my backdoor in a cement planter and filled hanging baskets to put at my bird feeders with Salvia, Ageratum and my favorite Nicotiana called Hummingbird II Rose.
I will get a few more herbs I think. My friend Tim said I could have a pole for my feeders he would bring me. I am having to fill up the 2 I have Every Day! They are small though.
Well I am going to see what my friends have been up to, LOL, and get ready for bed.

I have been so busy today! I started out my favorite way and went to a yard sale at my Grandmother's church and got 3 wooden dining chairs for $9. Now when we have friends over we don't have to wheel over the computer chairs, LOL!
When I got home I started cleaning the garage and got a lot thrown away and more room. I still have to go through boxes I want to price for a yard sale.
I did do these two pages when I got up early this morning. They are from Charli's birth and I used In Memoriam by Rina Kroes and Kimmi Stewart @ SBE.
After Les got off work we finished up the garage, went to see my Grandmother, ate at China Garden and then we went over to play with Charli. She was in a silly mood, I took her some Leap Frog toys and a Magna Doodle and she had a blast! She has loves to play Hop on Pop. She will try her best to jump!
I took some pictures of my flowers and will post later when I get more time.

I found a wonderful new site since I have been doing Garden Girl's Designs called Scrapable! This page made with Squeaky Clean was done for a challenge to make your bottom paper show through, I love how it turned out! Her kits are so much fun to work with!

I almost hate for this week to end, LOL, my 'wild child' has been on vacation and for a couple of days we only had 4 kids and it has been a good, quiet week! My new child Mason is wonderful! He is so full of smiles and we have really bonded!

Les and I went and got some more plants yesterday, the ones I tried to start didn't do so well, that was my fault because I left them outside and covered with plastic instead of bringing them in! I bought things that are for butterfly and hummingbird gardens. When I get off I will get to work, LOL!

Pigtails

More pictures of Charli from Gina's camera, she won't usually let Gina do her hair but she sat in my lap when Gina did mine and let her put her hair up. She is not very happy after she got home I guess, LOL!

This is the book I found at the library on bird watching, it is wonderful! Tells foods the birds really like and even how to make some simple feeders.
I'm glad it is getting warmer and no rain! I took some pictures of the uprooted trees around town! We had many old, big trees uprooted including the one at the hospital, one that destroyed a house 2 miles from us (the hospital is less than a mile away from my house) and the Children's Home lost many and was a mess! There is a lot near the house they have piled up with trees! I will share the pictures later. There were a couple of tornadoes that touched down: we were blessed they didn't get any closer to us!
