She was happy to see me yesterday! When I walked in the door she was sitting on the sofa waiting to show me her new shoes, LOL! She is so much like her Mom and my Mom, when it comes to shoes, that skipped a generation because I am perfectly happy with Gina's old shoes, I hate to buy shoes!
I have a new child in class this week, they moved my crying child, she is still crying so at least it was not me but I do not have to sit and hold her all day! I have a new little boy and a little Japanese girl next week.
It was a long day yesterday, Trey didn't get home until 6:30 and it will be that way tonight then I have church so I am not making headway with my yard sale and getting behind on everything!
I have said it before I Love Thursdays!!

I got the Scrapture Challenge up at 3S, this is the posting gift Jolene made me as a gift. Jolene Shaffer is a designer at 3S and is my featured Designer for the month and provided the gifts for this month's challenges. She has had a couple of deaths in her family lately and other storms so I ask you to pray for her to stay strong as she faces them.
I had company last night so actually sat with her talking instead of scrapping or cleaning. I enjoyed her company, too!
It will be great to see Charli today, I have not seen her since last Wednesday since she didn't come to church Sunday!

We are starting a new theme for the month of June, based on the concept of PURPOSE. With that in mind, the scripture verse for Week 17 comes from Psalm 33:11 which says:

This was a gift yesterday from the GAs at church, I am glad both the GA and RAs were started back. Les and I used to do them ten years ago, we even have a plaque that we were awarded. Time sure is passing by!
I have got to get the crafts together for VBS, Les has the story times and I do the crafts. Now we rotate so we have different groups come in and so we will have 3 or 4 classes. That really works out great. The biggest thing is my Sundayschool class is small and I have 2 sofas in it, the kids love our class and I will go in a find a pile of kids in there. Sometimes I wonder why I keep teaching but I think being surrounded by kids helps me keep young.
I hope to get started tagging things for my yard sale Saturday, I think I am going to sale down some of my scrapbooking stuff.

Here are some of my jewelry pieces that I took yesterday to the craft show. I just did the pictures quick to do this post so it is hard to see how pretty they really are.
Today seem so short! Part of it is we had to be at church at 5:15 for a Graduation reception for Beth and Travis and I took a long nap so I have not gotten much done! One of the neighbors told me they were having a yard sale next Saturday and if I wanted to he could just put the one ad in the paper. I am happy to do that because Les is off and I have been getting things ready to do that anyway.
We did have 2 people to join the church today and I actually forgot my camera! One was Donny who has been singing in the choir for awhile and been a part of the congregation for a few weeks (Donna's Brother) and the other is Karen who is our good friend Kevin's sister. I like putting these things down here because I can pull up the keywords when I do the book next year and have reminders what to scrap!
Also tonight was Fifth Sunday singing and I got pictures of everyone that sang.
My FIL is Not doing well, he is now jaundice and was in pain today. I am thinking about losing my own Dad Father's Day 2006, it probably will not be a drawn out thing, I really hope not, I hate seeing him suffer and my MIL age.

I am very late posting because after the craft show I came home and started reorganizing and making my office more Charli Proof, LOL! I have not even checked my email yet, I might do that in a minute and at least clear out the stuff I don't read.
I made $10 today so I left early, I guess there was too much jewelry competition. Anyway I got some things done and I think I wall join my sisters in doing more, It was worth the company.
We had planned on going to the movies but our friend had to work so I am going to finish working on my cleaning...

Just a quick post while I am running my bath. I am up early because I want to work on some jewelry quickly before work. I also have a knot on my left knee and it was hurting and I could not get comfortable any way.

Honeysuckles and Queen Anne's Lace

On the way to work I think how I miss seeing the fields of wildflowers I used to pass by. I love the pretty, fragile Queen Anne's Lace and the smell of honeysuckle, Gina has honeysuckles in her yard growing on her fence so I catch a whiff of the sweet smell when I visit.
The day was better at work yesterday, River, the child that had cried is trying another class so it was peaceful. July 8 everything will be mixed up and kids moving up to the next class. I hope I will get the below 2 group again.

Charli and I watch Sponge Bob together and this week I have heard her singing the theme song. She is now understanding she wears a diaper and when I told her to help me pull her pants up she hiked them way up and giggled at herself. She likes to do a big laugh that comes across like a villain and I do it back and we go back and forth. doing this evil sounding laugh. I learn something new everyday, she picked up her blocks when I sang the clean up song and she knows a horse when she sees the toy and she wanted to go outside and took me to the back door and started knocking telling me "out" . it has still been raining here and was wet si I had to tell her it had rained and showed her the rain on the window.

Thursday... this week is passing quickly. I am glad I only have 1 Wednesday each week. i leave at 7:15AM and don't get home until almost 8:30PM! maybe I will get something accomplished today to get ready for Saturday's show.

Rainbow

Yesterday I was sitting at the railroad crossing when a quick rain came up. This is the rainbow that appeared as it was raining. This is the back of the courthouse, I didn't realize the drop of rain was on my camera but anyway you can see the full bow. That's a Veteran monument at the top.
When I got home I was tired, I had a trying day at work because one of the girls cried All Morning getting on my nerves! Thank goodness Charli was in a fabulous mood and my little sister came over a few minutes with my niece. OH, I got off track... the house smelled so good but when I walked in the Pyrex dish Les had fixed ribs in exploded when he sat it on the stove and made a mess. I am glad he wasn't in the way because the glass went through a couple of cans of Pepsi and that added to the mess!

Spent the day relaxing yesterday, Did this page for Jeremy, The kits were 2 freebies Beachglass and Solider by Gingerscraps. I especially love the BeachGlass kit and plan on using it again!
Almost hate to get back to work, LOL, but I am sure it will be a good day. I will be glad to see my baby, though!
My nephew Nick passed his EMT class with a 98! He is in the Army and stationed in Texas. I have talked to him a couple of times on Face Book. I am pretty proud he finally found something he likes!

I was very tickled this morning to see this picture got the Selective color picture for today at Gotta Pixel! I have entered several in that group since it is a favorite technique!I have to say my favorite site is Scrapable! Not only is it a fun site to post and hang around there are some Great Designers there! These two pages are from a kit called Spinky Spanky by Spinky Dink Scraps. I really loved playing with it! Thank you Lindsay for making this kit available first to your fans! It will be added to the store tomorrow. Oh, LOL, Lindsay is da bomb!
I hope I can make myself get away from the computer awhile to make some jewelry today for the craft show, I do think scrapping is more fun though!
We went to see Star Trek at the Drive in last night with some friends, that was fun even in the misty rain! I enjoyed the movie it was just dark in places and I had trouble seeing it. I liked to characters and loved the story line. We wanted to see the second feature but with Les having to go to work this morning we thought it wasn't a good idea. next week end is Disney so we hope to go. We all want to see UP! Gina will probably go with us. She and Trey went Saturday night to see Star Trek instead of going Sunday.

I saw Charli at church and it is only a Very small bruise, she had on her silver sandals and it barely shows and is not bothering her at all. Thanks for your concerns!

Here are the pictures of Charli 'icing' her boo boo after she dropped a toy truck on her foot, she was very funny with the ice, her foot was a little swollen and had a small bruise but she was still standing on her toes and playing so she was fine, I think Les felt worse that anyone since she was following him when she went to the shelf the truck was on. Gina said that she was going to get hurt and it was ok. We still felt bad.
His back is hurting again. He had to turn up his stimulator on high and take a Flexaril. I hope it ends soon, I hate to see him hurting! He has to work everyday until Thursday when he is off.

I found a wonderful site yesterday called Just Digital Designs. I know there are Tons of sites so why add another? Well first of all there are some really nice freebies there, for joining I got a welcome gift called My Zen by Brownie Scraps which I made the top LO with and I got Sun Kissed by Sweet Tomato and made the second page with. I did these for challenges there.
I actually joined to get a free kit by Laura which is another cute one.
It's an open gallery and works like DST and DTS so all my DESIGNER friends, check it out!

I am really early posting because I couldn't sleep. Gina and Trey went out to eat so Charli came and played with me a little while. She actually asked "What cha doin'?" tonight, I can understand her very well. She is talking more than a couple of my two year olds at work. She followed Les into the living room and he didn't realize it and before I could follow her she knocked off a truck from my shelf (one Daddy gave Les) and it fell on her foot and bruised it. He tried to comfort her but Meme just does it better, LOL! She was funny with the bag of ice we got her to put on it, I did get pictures!
I am so happy to have a long week end! Les has to work everyday so I will be scrapping and crafting! Unless Gina needs me I only plan on going to church tomorrow. I will post some of the things I make, too.

I thought this picture was a cute one and wanted to play with color selection for the glasses. I found them for $1 at Maxway. She is fascinated with my glasses like most kids at this age are so I thought she would like them. I am so happy to have a 3 day week end! I don't have any special plans so I guess I might get caught up on my CT work! I have a lot of kits I have done but have to send links to the designer and have some new kits, too, Cathy K did a Birthday Kit for week 3 of the contest. I will be doing some pages with it and post.
Les has to work Sunday and Monday but we are planning on going to see Star Trek at the Drive In after church Sunday Night with a group of friends from church. Gina might go, too. I am not going for the movie but the company!

My Grandmother let me have this wagon. At first Charli was afraid to ride but Jeff pulled her and I around a little and she was OK with riding.

Not really a lot to say today, got a couple more pieces made for the craft show yesterday and played with Charli... she is now 16 months old!

I walked in the house with a bag and Charli asked me "What's that?" and pointed to the bag. When I showed her what was inside was a great 'monster sleeping bag' my Mom had sent her. She loved it! I even called my Mom to tell her how much Charli enjoyed it.
I can't wait to see her in the afternoon! She has started loving on me at random times and saying more and more, she picked up her play phone the other day and said "what's up?"
I didn't spend much time at all on the computer yesterday, I have decided to do the craft show with Twila so I am making a few pieces to sell. I sure hope we have better luck than we had before!

I have been going through some older pictures this last week and found this one. I filtered it and made a page with a kit called Going Green by Connie Prince I want you to go over to this site and look at my avatar there... Isn't that TOO FUNNY! I am waiting to see how many people go look because I only have 4 views right now.
There are a lot of sites I enjoy but this isn't one of them. If your page is not looked at you have not accomplished what your set out to do as a Creative Team, get the kit seen! At Gotta Pixel I have 21 views and 3 comments, and at my Favorite site Scrapable I have 18 views and 5 comments. There are sites that it is a chore to post at because no matter how you do the challenges and comment on others your page is 'lost'
Well that's my two cents, LOL!
I saw the cutest candle holder made from a Mason Jar and am trying to make one, I know why I have not made any jewelry in awhile! That wire wrapping is really getting harder with my hands, Gina told me last Sunday she could see my thumbs were worse. At least they don't hurt. I got one almost done, I will take pictures and show you later.

This is the mill that was beside Granddaddy Gary's House. Most of what was very important to our town, Greenwood Mills, is now gone. Everyone has relatives that worked in the mills if they grew up here, it is so sad to see them torn down or sitting there deserted! We live in Mathews Mill Village which was established in 1889, I can take a 5 minute walk and visit my Great-grandmother's grave, I take Charli to feed the ducks at the end of my block at the Mill Pond, drive past my Dad's old workplace called the Compound and Self Memorial Hospital which was built by Mr. Self who owned the mills.

I love yard sales! I especially love church and fund raisers. I got this cute fellow yesterday at the Lutheran Church to add to my collection.
Today Gina and I went to Greenville. I needed to get the mats for my photographs for the Festival of Flowers, I am still a little horse but being with her and Charli I felt much better. Charli really does not like to shop!

Charli loves her swing! A couple of weeks ago I took these pictures as we played, since Cathy did this kit with the frame group I thought I would scrap them together, I also did a brag book size, I plan on doing another one today.

I plan on going to a couple of yard sales this morning. I mostly go to church or fund raising ones. Les was going to go with me but his Dad is on a rampage because his truck wouldn't start and he wanted Les to swap the battery and so before he goes to work he has to deal with that. His Dad had gotten argumentative and mean. I am glad Jeremy is not here to see it and don't want Gina to remember him like this! Dementia has really set in and Les and his Mom are the ones who it is coming out on most. I won't talk about it much more, it is depressing.

I have lost my voice for some reason. I went to Wal-Mart to get some cough syrup and they had no store brand, not the 8 oz I usually get or even the 4 oz. I don't mind that much if I can't talk but Les always makes me answer questions like "Do we have any ice cream?" instead of looking in the freezer...

Today at work our theme is Bumble Bees, we have been singing "Bringing hom a baby Bumble bee" and coloring pictures. One of the girls wore a Cute shirt that says I am (Picture of Bee) -utiful! I think I may make some WA like that. I haven't got to take any new pictures of insects yet but my flowers should bring them in as summer gets closer. I know I will get a lot when the Festival comes and Les and I take the garden tours.
I think next week will be butterflies...

OH, I can hear now after 6 months! It didn't take the Dr long to get all the wax out, it was well worth the money!

I got kind of tickled to see this at my Hummingbird feeder! I still don't have but a single hummer coming by, I hope that will change, Last summer I had several fighting over the feeder. Maybe it is a little early yet.

I found a great blog for Digital Scrapper's called Rebecca's Scrapping Silliness. She is very talented! She has many wonderful free kits, check her out!

I only had 6 kids yesterday because Hunter was sick, I hope he feels better today.

It is wonderful to be a Grandmother! Simple things mean so much because you have time to enjoy it! Yesterday Charli called me Meme several times and gave me big kisses, she was in a fabulous mood!

My ear is really bothering me now. I am going to the ENT Thursday after work, I got off work early today because it hurt so badly! I took some advil and a nap before I went to keep Charli. I felt blessed to get an appointment that quick. Our ENTs stay booked up.

The young birds are at my feeders now! What a fun time watching the parents feed them, too! I just wish I could share with Charli, I can just imagine her pointing and saying "LOOK!" I got several great shots!

My FIL came home from the hospital Friday but he is not in his right mind at all. I feel bad for Les as he gets upset everytime he calls or goes to see him. At least Jeanette is staying with them for a few days.

I am looking forward to seeing Gina's house today. Trey took the wrought iron down and replaced it with wood rails on her front porch for Mother's Day. I am ready for my love from Charli, too, LOL!

This is a picture from the Park Seed Garden last year. I am getting so excited that it is almost time I can go again! the tour is the end of June, Zaroga, Les is taking that Saturday of so you tell Frank he needs to get well so you can ride to Greenwood and go with us, LOL! Thanks for the hints on my computer, I had dumped my cache and cookies and my Antivirus was supposed to update automatically but this AM when I went to check that No Antivirus! So this is a quickie post so I can fix that!
