I have been doing some deep thinking today. My son-in-law's father is going through so much with bladder cancer and is in so much pain. Daily she asks for prayers and he is on the list at church, I believe in prayers! My thought today is if you claim to believe it must be more than posts for others to pray for you and having a random verse generated on your profile!
I love my children with all my heart! I would do anything in my power for Gina, Jeremy not as much. That may sound cruel but when you know the circumstances is really isn't. Gina will call me to see if there is anything I need, she never sees me without hugging and kissing me hi and bye. In church she stands praying with her arms around me. Jeremy is 3000 miles away, no call on my birthday (he was training) and when he got home never said Happy belated birthday. We send Christmas yet not a card from them. I get a text once in a while I love you but usually in answer to one I sent. You know I don't love him any less than Gina, he was my first child! He just breaks my heart as a Mom, since he joined the Army I have no personal relationship with him.
I believe Christ is the same. We are taught that God is Abba, Father. To be a Child of God and earn the right to call on Him we need to have a personal relationship with him. We can't just call and say I need healing now and expect Him to heal. God allows adversity to come to wake us up from our selfish sinful lives so we have the chance to turn around.
My dear SIL comes to church once in awhile to appease Gina but his Mom and Dad have no church home. When he dies who will preach his funeral? At least he has a choice, what about those taken quickly in a wreck our like my friend Gail who passed away at 42 of a heart attack in her sleep?
When it comes to my two oldest grandbabies who are 4 days apart, when I die Charli will miss me terribly, Seth will say "I didn't know her"

Matthew 7:21-23 (New King James Version)

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawless

Jeremy is now in Louisiana for training, I was sad he told Jeff he left Monday morning but not us (we did know he was going just not when) so I went and found me a new purse to cheer me up. I am very picky about having organised spaces but not too big. This one is just right when I wear it on my left side over my air! Of course it is my favorite color ;)
Trey spent the day with his Dad at the hospital, his tumor is causing him great pain. Ames threw up all over me and I think I want to go wash off yet again!!!

I went for my physical today, my bloodwork was great, I didn't have to have my lung tests or echo now so that made me happy! He is still talking to me about a lung transplant but I keep telling him 'no.' I do have to now double my Cellcept, that means adding 5 more pills Plus I have to take an antibiotic every day, that means I start my day with 16 pills, then 7 plus my sleep pill so 24 pills a day! (that does include my B vitamins, multi vitamins and calcium)
I have not seen Charli since Friday, so I an looking forward to seeing her and Ames!!

I am posting notes here for my friend Sheila who was sick and couldn't be at church tonight...

Getting back to your first love

Preacher West started talking about how Samson was God's man and let sin come between him and God and tells us in Judges16:20
And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.
He said that was one of the saddest verses in the Bible
He then goes to Rev. 2:1 where the church of Ephesus has slowly pulled away from God talking about how first we stop going to church on Wednesdays and skipping Sundays, then we stop praying faithfully and then we find we are no longer in love with God like we were when we first were saved!

Matthew 24:12 (New King James Version)
12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow co
ld.

He talks about how went we lose something we need to go back to where we were when we first lost it.

IF WE LOVE GOD WE MUST RETURN TO DOING THE THINGS THAT BRING US CLOSE TO GOD!

We must read the Word, Pray and go to Church and HEAR GOD'S WORD"
Ps23 tells us we HE RESTORETH MY SOUL

It's a gradual thing that brings us back to where we need to be, there must be a starting point!

I honestly believe God puts people in our lives at just the right time! I took Les to work and went to get my Carolina long sleeved T shirt I wanted from Palmetto Treasures (ON SALE) then I went to see if something I wanted from Hancock was still there and since it was not I sat looking at patterns when Dee Cobb saw me and sat down. We started talking about the earring class tonight and she told me her car was cutting out so I called Les and he said bring it to him. I followed her to the Zone where he found the battery cables were just loose Advance had looked and told her they didn't see anything. Then we went to the class. It was fun!

Had a very nice day! Got my new chair, played with the kids, ate Chinese with Mom and Mema and the lady beside us slipped $2 in my hand and said, "God's blessings to you!" that was a blessing, $2 from a total stranger is a treasure from heaven!!

Started my Cellcept today, it added 5 pills to my daily regiment ;( This is the way I do my pills for the week, it takes several minutes to do and is easier to do once a week, I take 15 in the morning then often take a pill for coughing, heartburn pill and my sleeping pill. At least no more chemo!
I let Les read side effects and we laughed, I wouldn't know if I had them because I already have them all, LOL!
Gina is still sick, she must have had the flu, the kids, Trey and Les and I had our shots but she didn't.

Ames rolled over today, Gina texted me to let me know.
I can't believe the month is over! Poor Jamie is having a colonoscopy on my birthday and is needing a ride home, poor thing, Les goes back to work tomorrow and I will have the babies, I wish I could be more of a help, she has helped us to much with filling out paperwork and stuff to get Les back to work after these 6 weeks!
Getting ready for Homecoming and Preaching Mission next week! Got to think of something to fix for lunch after preaching, I hope we have a full house!

This is a picture of Charli blessing her tea party, LOL!
Today has been nice, Charli and I spent time watching videos and laughing at the Pixar bloopers and fun songs Like The Bird's the Word and Ames was his usual smiling self BUT Gina had to go home sick which is so rare! She had the stomach bug, I guess.
Les went to eat with his Mom who made beef stew but I didn't want to get out in the cold and stayed home.

I have always been close to my Grandmother, I spent a lot of time with her growing up. She is a godly woman just like her mother, Hassie. I took the babies to visit with her Monday and as I was walking out the door she touched my arm (Les had taken the kids out to put in the van) and told me she was concerned about family members who were not in church and she started tearing up. I almost started to cry myself. I know how she feels and me heart ached to listen to her. What started it is she asked a granddaughter about going to chuch and she gave her a funny look and said "Going to CHURCH?" I do not want to die not seeing my kids faithful and since she is in her 90's she probably feels that way, too.
I pray she will get her wish!

Tuesday, January 25, 2011

I saw my first orioles today! It was sleeting when I told Les to put out my feeder Twila gave me, I got a few pictures of the pretty yellow birds, I hope I will get more!

Monday, January 24, 2011

Today is Seth's 3rd Birthday and my 700th post! I sent him a tool set and book so I hope he got them! Charli went to the doctor for her check up, she is in the 95% for height and weighs 28lbs. She doesn't like the doctor's office and freaks out when she has to get undressed, she did the same last year. Gina said it was worse this year. I was with her last year and it was bad, LOL!
Gina took us to O'Charlie's and I took the kids to see Grandmama while she went to jury duty. We then are dinner with Mema, it was a nice day.

I LOVE this song!!!

Angel and Bruce sang this tonight, I love it, too

I am actually ahead of the game for once, LOL! I created 6 posters for Homecoming through Walgreen and got most of the pictures printed and ready to go in the album while they were half price. Those posters are wonderful! I am thinking how they will be a great idea for gifts to send Jeremy's son Seth to help him know the family that he doesn't get to see. We did the 20 x 30 size at church and 6 cost $68.00 which wasn't bad. We are laminating them and each year I will make a new one. Our building will be finished by next homecoming so I have the pictures uploaded and ready, I will tell Sheila so if something happens to me she can get them printed. I do plan on being around, though, LOL!
Gina had a class and Charli went to Sunday School with us, she must have gotten up earl because she fell asleep in my arms, ;0) Papa Doug and Nana 'Laine gave her a singing card that sings "I Want Candy" Each Sunday he has a pack of Tic Tacs for her in his shirt pocket and they are another set of Grandparents.
I decided I want a chair for my Christmas/Birthday and Office Max had the very chair I want for $50, I was ready to go get it but Les's disability check didn't come in so I am afraid to get anything extra :( I am sure they will have it on sale again or maybe I will get the cash I need to make up the difference, I am tired of my air hanging in the arm of the chair I have and my back hurting. The new one is wider and has good support. I have less than 2 weeks until my birthday, I told Les I want a chair and a long sleeved Carolina shirt, I saw a Carolina Girls shirt at church I loved so I tell him what I want so I don't get something I can't use (BIG :0))
Have felt pretty good this week, just sleeping a little more than I would like to. Have been going to bed around 2 and sleeping in until 10 or 11, I sleep so good in the morning!
