Well today is the first day with my new class, I did play with them awhile Friday and got some pictures but Yochih was not there. The parents of the kids that went up were not happy, I had them a short time, I know one or two were going to say something but that's the way it goes sometimes. I am about to leave for work early so I can do some things.
Tonight we are having our first Women on Missions meeting at church, it is something new and we will meet once a month and concentrate even more on doing missions in our community. Should be lots of fun, we always have a great time any way. Then we will eat with Gina so I can get the car seat put in my van.
Well off to work, have a great day!

After church Les and I went to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, Chinatown, we love all the Chinese ones here in town and he had to work today so that's what he wanted to do.
My little squirrel friend came to visit this morning and he has sores where he has been in a fight, poor thing, I have seen a robin take after him but he has places on both sides.
One more week until VBS, I have to get the crafts ready to go and I will be keeping Charli, going to Debbie's house, Trey's Mom, and getting her. They will be on vacation next week so I will not see her for a while so I am going to be sure I spend time with her. I did get my office cleaned up for her to come over, I might stop by Grandmama's too. The thing is I have a terrible time pushing the buttons to get her out of the seat!
Here is this week's Scripture Challenge at SBE

Continuing with our theme for the month of June, based on the concept of PURPOSE, the scripture verse for Week 19 comes from Exodus 9:16 in which God tells Pharaoh:
“But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”

** Be sure to read the General Guidelines to the challenge HERE, where you can find out what will happen each week. It will tell you how you can take part, what you will be receiving, where to post your submissions to, etc.

I am just taking a minute to eat a piece of lemon pie and post this between cleaning so it is real quick. I don't want to stop long, I have things left to put up after the yard sale and reorganize so just a quick picture of my little friend to share.

Good Morning!
I finally decided the pictures and have them ready to take to the festival today. Actually I developed 2 of Charli and will see which one of those is best and did the one of the bird at the beach and the water lily, I hope you will wish me luck!
I did find out what is going on at work and my 3 oldest will move up, I am trying to keep Hunter, though because he won't be he much the summer since his Mom is a teacher and I am afraid he will have trouble adjusting. He is the one I initially had trouble with but I learned how to be a better teacher for him and I do not want that to be messed up. I haven't met the new ones coming up, either, I do know one is another of Shirley's grand kids and hasn't been at the center long.
These are zinnias from my garden, I love the speckled ones, they came from seeds I bout at Jackson. I will try more next year, I think. Well I had better hurry because I want to stop by Walgreen's before work!

The rain has really helped my herbs, I love going to smell them! The only ones not doing as well are the pineapple mint and the lavender. Les has plenty of tomatoes so far and some cucumbers and we have already has a little squash, we did lose some to slugs. Have a couple of peppers, too.
I was very proud of Yochih yesterday! Not only did she not cry or cling to me she played with the other kids and spoke. She talks Japenese to her Mom but keeps that paci in her mouth and has patted and pointed up to now. I am waiting to see what kind of changes are made, we had a note that classes were being combined and one of the teachers said I would have to move to another class, I am praying she was wrong!

My Butterfly bush is starting to bloom and my zinnias are showing out! Next year I need to plan better on them though, I need to figure out height better because I have some shorter ones in the middle. I have had good luck with these and my Verbena and my petunias are ok but the phlox, hummingbird rose and salvia are not as good. I know why though, Les mixed sand in the top soil instead of using potting soil and the soil is too hard, will remember that next year!
Yochih, my new little girl did not cry at all yesterday but stayed in my lap or beside me the whole time. Cai and mason were sick so had just 5 kids again.
When I got over to Gina's Charli was whiney! I had to laugh, she when into her room, got a blanket and crawled on the sofa before Gina even left! She went to sleep a few minutes after 2 and did not wake up until just before 5! Shae was in a fun mood then and we played until her Daddy came home. Got some great pictures of her dancing for me!

I forgot to say that I changed the photo at the bottom of my posts and added a favorite one from these!

Fun in the water! Charli gave me some wonderful shots Sunday! These are of her in the water, Look at that diaper as she walks up the hill, LOL!
My new children did really well, Yochih came in crying but after I got her Mom out she stopped after 5 minutes or so and stayed by me for a long time. She then started playing and was smiling and laughing, she is a beautiful child! The little boy, Cai was fine, just like he had been there. I only had 5 kids and it was nice. I should have all today and Thursday.
Had a meeting for VBS, it is coming up fast! The 20th we will have a Kick off with water games and a parade through local neighborhoods, that is a fun day. I will be getting all my crafts together and rearranging my class for it soon.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

My friend Debbie gave me this wonderful award today. I do not keep up with a lot of Blogs to pass on this to and really mean it so here are the few I do enjoy because they keep up with the writing and make the Blog fun to read...

Zaroga who I so enjoy and feel as if I know! I hope you have a relaxing fishing trip!
Linda who shares her wonderful Word Art with us and is a great person!
Tammy who is one of my first and best digi friends and has two great boys to scrap!

Well those are my favorite I hope you enjoy them, too!
I think this is one of the best pictures I have gotten of Gina's family! Charli finally smiled a little, LOL!
I got some great pictures of her playing in the river I will post later.
Today my new kids start so it should be interesting, I will miss Livi and especially Kameron! She would even want me to put a band aid on her instead of her Mom, the other day she put a glove on and put it on my head and said, "it's alright Honey, I won't hurt." That made my day!
Hunter will not be there a lot because his Mom is a teacher so she wants to spend time with him, that's nice.

This is my FIL with Gina and Charli, he really did pretty good, I think. It was a big to do trying to get him there and he left early which I was not happy about because we got out of church early so we could follow them but, that's live with him right now...
He was hurting bad in his stomach last night, I keep wondering if he will make it through the month or if both Les and I will mourn our Dad's in June.

I will probably share several pictures from the Gary Reunion the week, these are Charli running and with Meagan Gary, Les's cousin Paul's youngest child. She is 3 days younger that Charli and one day older than Seth. She just wanted to hug Charli but Charli is not a very huggable baby and would not let her. I couldn't get a picture of Crystal's grandbaby who was born in April.
New Scripture Challenge up at SBE, come join us for Great WA by Rina as we share our Faith!

Continuing with our theme for the month of June, based on the concept of PURPOSE, the scripture verse for Week 18 comes from Romans 8:28 which says:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

My Dad would have been 70 today. Three years ago we celebrated his last birthday and he passed away June 18, Father's day. It is good remembering him now, we spent a lot of quality time together as he suffered his last days of his cancer after years of hard feelings.
He was the smartest uneducated man I know. He only when to the sixth grade yet he mentally kept up with his checkbook and was a Master Machinist, making anything he wanted. When I tell people who my Dad was they usually say what a good man he was and I know he was a pretty good fellow, I can almost hear him laughing now, he did that a lot. I just regret that alcohol had to enter the picture when he was in his mid thirties, it changed the man that called me Sweetheart into a man I didn't like very much. I wish he could have been a man I wanted my kids to spend time with, Jeremy did not even invite him to his wedding and he never came to important things in their lives until Gina got married. That is one of my favorite memories! We asked the Grandmothers to all wear pink to her wedding and he told my Step-Mom to get him a pink shirt! Yes, real men do wear pink!
I love you, Daddy!

Now I am finished with my yard sale and made $132. I really got rid of a lot of scrapbooking stuff! I made bags of buttons, lace, stickers and little doodads and sold for 50cents and $1 and sold most of my paper to one woman 6 for $1!
We almost forgot tomorrow was the Gary Reunion in Elberton! Thank goodness Gina told me yesterday and Les is off! He is out trying to get a trailer to put the scooter on, now.
Well I had better get my craft room back to clean!!

I was so proud when I opened up my mail and found this! I have been featured by Christy Haig for this page! It was created by Miss Erin's Remember the Best Dreams that I gave the links for Wednesday.
Charli had a fun time while Gina and Trey went to the Graduation, I ended up keeping her here so I could work a little on my yard sale. A friend is coming to help me this afternoon, it rained and I didn't get things out of the garage yesterday, it cost over $ 9 to put an ad in the paper so I hope I can get enough scrapbooking and craft stuff to make more than that!

I thought I would share a couple of pictures from my day... The girls dancing for me are Kamryn and Livi, the 2 that will move up next week, they are now 30 months old. Then there's Kinley eating her Grits, I am glad they dry and I can get them cleaned up easy enough, LOL!
My zinnias are blooming, my butterfly bush is about to and my Mr Lincoln Rose has many buds.
Trey's brother Ty will graduate tonight so I am going over to Gina's and keep Charli while they go see him. I have everything tore up trying to get stuff together for Saturday. I sure hope it doesn't rain before I get to the garage today! I will be glad when that is over, I feel so behind this week!
My niece and her two kids have moved in with my MIL, that's all my MIL needs is to take care of 2 children under 4 while she is stressed out with my FIL! He now is jaundice and had potassium poisoning from his liver shutting down. The spot on his liver has grown, too. There is too much drama for me!

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

This page is done with the pictures I took when I brought Charli the bag from my Mom. She loves it and had a blast posing for me! I scrapped it with Miss Erin's newest kit Remember the Best Dreams on sale for $2.80 right now at Gingerscraps
She was happy to see me yesterday! When I walked in the door she was sitting on the sofa waiting to show me her new shoes, LOL! She is so much like her Mom and my Mom, when it comes to shoes, that skipped a generation because I am perfectly happy with Gina's old shoes, I hate to buy shoes!
I have a new child in class this week, they moved my crying child, she is still crying so at least it was not me but I do not have to sit and hold her all day! I have a new little boy and a little Japanese girl next week.
It was a long day yesterday, Trey didn't get home until 6:30 and it will be that way tonight then I have church so I am not making headway with my yard sale and getting behind on everything!
I have said it before I Love Thursdays!!

I got the Scrapture Challenge up at 3S, this is the posting gift Jolene made me as a gift. Jolene Shaffer is a designer at 3S and is my featured Designer for the month and provided the gifts for this month's challenges. She has had a couple of deaths in her family lately and other storms so I ask you to pray for her to stay strong as she faces them.
I had company last night so actually sat with her talking instead of scrapping or cleaning. I enjoyed her company, too!
It will be great to see Charli today, I have not seen her since last Wednesday since she didn't come to church Sunday!

This is this week's WA by Rina for the challenge at SBE Rina has a couple of gorgeous new kits out so be sure and stop by and see them while you are there.
We are starting a new theme for the month of June, based on the concept of PURPOSE. With that in mind, the scripture verse for Week 17 comes from Psalm 33:11 which says:
“But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.”

** Be sure to read the General Guidelines to the challenge HERE, where you can find out what will happen each week. It will tell you how you can take part, what you will be receiving, where to post your submissions to, etc.

This was a gift yesterday from the GAs at church, I am glad both the GA and RAs were started back. Les and I used to do them ten years ago, we even have a plaque that we were awarded. Time sure is passing by!
I have got to get the crafts together for VBS, Les has the story times and I do the crafts. Now we rotate so we have different groups come in and so we will have 3 or 4 classes. That really works out great. The biggest thing is my Sundayschool class is small and I have 2 sofas in it, the kids love our class and I will go in a find a pile of kids in there. Sometimes I wonder why I keep teaching but I think being surrounded by kids helps me keep young.
I hope to get started tagging things for my yard sale Saturday, I think I am going to sale down some of my scrapbooking stuff.

Here are some of my jewelry pieces that I took yesterday to the craft show. I just did the pictures quick to do this post so it is hard to see how pretty they really are.
Today seem so short! Part of it is we had to be at church at 5:15 for a Graduation reception for Beth and Travis and I took a long nap so I have not gotten much done! One of the neighbors told me they were having a yard sale next Saturday and if I wanted to he could just put the one ad in the paper. I am happy to do that because Les is off and I have been getting things ready to do that anyway.
We did have 2 people to join the church today and I actually forgot my camera! One was Donny who has been singing in the choir for awhile and been a part of the congregation for a few weeks (Donna's Brother) and the other is Karen who is our good friend Kevin's sister. I like putting these things down here because I can pull up the keywords when I do the book next year and have reminders what to scrap!
Also tonight was Fifth Sunday singing and I got pictures of everyone that sang.
My FIL is Not doing well, he is now jaundice and was in pain today. I am thinking about losing my own Dad Father's Day 2006, it probably will not be a drawn out thing, I really hope not, I hate seeing him suffer and my MIL age.
