Been Very Busy! Had a wedding to photograph Friday and our best friends' wedding Saturday! This is Les and I with Tim and Leighanne. Afterwards we took Charli to see the light at Connie Maxwell Children's Home, she cooed and ahhed and danced! We rode the horse-drawn wagons and she Loved it! She was the Best, I was so proud and our friends all bragged on her! We had a group of 12 including the newlyweds, Kevin and Shannon and girls plus Cassidy and Helena from Les' work and her boys. It was a Fun night! Will post a picture later.

Got results back today

This is Charli with my DGM I just thought I would share... we are blessed to have 5 generations in our family.
I talked to my Dr. today, in order to go on Cytoxan http://www.medicinenet.com/cyclophosphamide/article.htm I have to go back up to 30 mgs of Predisone, I have been on Predisone for 19 years and was just told it was very hard on my body so I don't think that's a smart thing to triple it! I talked to my husband and daughter and Gina has same feelings I do, if I do this the side effects are too rough, weight gain, moodiness, hair loss And I have to have blood work and see the Dr each month and take antibiotics 3 times a week to prevent infections, to me it's not a real option. The Quality of life is so much more than Quantity, I am 48 and have a grand daughter I adore, I don't want to be too sick to take care of her or have her remember me as a fat witch! My Husband thinks I am being selfish, I don't think wanting Charli to have a happy Meme is selfish...

Jeremy I am Proud of you!

I was doing my usual two challenges at once when I came up with this page, when J was young we were Very close, I was even assistant scout master of his scout troop and got to pin his Eagle on him! Now he is grown and has a son of his own, I feel so bad that I can't bond with Seth and spoil him like I do Charli, 3000 miles is too far away. Now Jeremy is in Iraq and he is not able to see his son as he has his first teeth and gets ready to walk...
I have to remember what a wonderful little boy he was and I scrap his pictures growing up because I have too few of my grandson.
Well, enough of that! Jeremy I am so proud of you and we are all praying for you to return safely and with good memories! I Love you Son and miss your hugs!

Black Friday

It was a Very different day for me, I didn't go shopping with either of my sisters or Gina! Les and I went to Goodies and Wal-Mart, ate breakfast and he went to work. I was going to keep Charli but I didn't get but a couple of hours sleep so Gina and Trey took her with them to Anderson.

I got her this cute shirt tht says Who needs Santa when I've got Grandma? So I used Merry Falala by Cathy K to scrap these pictures. Just after I took the bottom picture she reached and got the donuts from the top of my pocketbook so I gave her one and took pictures. I also got her standing playing with my phone, she loves to dance to the music.

Cathy's Kit is $1 these weekend at SBE and believe me that's a bargain because the kit is adorable.

BTW, how do you like my new header? It's made with Kimmi's $1 kit called Snow Friends at SBE, I did use the frames and heart from Lover Boy to frame my great kids and grands. I had to do a double take for a second because I have had the other up since I started, but I like seeing my children at the top!

Well I am going to do a little baking today! Anyone that knows me know this is a rare event, LOL! Grandmama Gary always baked a lemon Nut cake and I loved it so much but never got the recipe. I found this one on Cooks.com and thought I would use Cathy K's Merry Falala to make a quick recipe card. Rina and Kimmi are having some Terrific $1 specials Friday at SBE and this is made from Rina's Oh Night Divine! It has got to be the most Gorgeous Kit I have Ever worked with! Everything is packaged in parts so you can buy what you need, The starry elements, the worn papers, etc. I couldn't help but putting those wings on Charli!

This is the set I made for Charli before she was born, I wanted to get some shots and I got tickled at her! These are made with Carla Ware's Blakelee, she's now at Scraphead, I have got to go visit her there... especially since I tagged her! I really miss her! I will go join their gallery so I can post my pages with her kits I've done, I am pretty busy now doing CT for Kimmi and Rina, Cathy K and Dude and Gem Designs. I also am still waiting for Scrapbooker's Playground to come back up, I miss doing for Cathy Alesia!

COLD TODAY!

Kimmi has a new kit for SBE called Christmas Angels, there are 3 colors, this page of Jeremy is done with the blue one, I so love this picture! He had just turned 2 and was so happy and funny!
Jamie and I tried doing our crafts at the Jockey Lot today, it was so cold! 22 degrees when I got there, I only sold 4 angels for the missions project and she didn't even make the $9 we had to pay for the space! Last week she at least made $12! I guess no one is buying much!

A quick note to say Happy Birthday to my best friend Leigh Ann!

Yesterday was my SIL's birthday and my nephew is now in the army! I think he will be in Texas.

It is really getting Cold here now, beginning to feel like Christmas!

Time Flies!

Wow, time is whizzing by! My sisters and I did a craft show and sat in the cold wind and it was a flop! At least we had a good time together and I got to meet Twila's friend Nora and Lori and Kelly from Abbeville who did the show, too!

Well this page is done for a SOTB challenge on someone grateful for you, it was a No Brainer for me, LOL! This kit by Cathy K came out at the Perfect Time! It is called Festive Fall and was released at SBE yesterday!

I sent out jeremy's 'sugar fix' Friday, I hope he lets me know when he gets it!

I am so happy that Rina and Kimmi asked me to join them at SBE! I will be doing the Scrapture Challenge there as an assistant, I can already see it is going to be time intensive reading the emails, LOL! I think it's so cool that so many have downloaded my Word Art! 98 so far! I will have to create more I guess!

The picture is from the early 70's of my sisiter Twila and brother Jeff and I at Easter. I couldn't find a good picture with a wagon or a good quote so this is what I came up with.

Charli's Costume

Charli was a Strawberry last night and was so CUTE! She was glad to see me and whined when Gina tried to take her so I could snap her picture. She didn't even look at Gina when she tried to take her picture...that's Meme's Doodlebug!

WHAT A WONDERFUL GREETING I GOT FROM CHARLI YESTERDAY! SHE CAME RIGHT TO ME AND GAVE ME ONE OF THOUGH SLOPPY OPEN MOUTHED KISSES SHE HANDS OUT WHEN SHE FEELS LIKE IT AND WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE ME! I MISSED HER, TOO, 6 DAYS IS A LONG TIME, LOL! HERE SHE IS WATCHING YO GABABBA GABBA IN HER FOOFA PJ'S, SHE LOVES THAT SHOW! I AM GOING TO GO TOY SHOPPING AND FIND HER A FOOFLA DOLL!
JEREMY EMAILED ME, HE WANTS CANDY! I AM GOING TO GET HIM A CHRISTMAS PACKAGE UP TO SEND, HE ALSO WANTS MAGAZINES THAT HAVE PICTURES FOR HIS COLLAGE WORK.

Sharing Beach Pictures

Here are some shots from the beach this past week end, this is my nephew Cody, he didn't know I was taking photos Or he didn't care, it was taken at Huntington State Park the birds were on the beach near our hotel.

Got home to Great News! 3S is not closing the gallery! Whoo-hoo! Had a wonderful weekend at the beach, the Dr says that my lungs are not as bad as they had thought but wants me on a powerful med and extra sinus and heart burn meds, that is going to put me at 8 or 9 pills a day (I will have to take a antibiotic 3 days a week to avoid infections while I am on the new med) Well, maybe I won't cough so much...

I'll post some pictures later from the beach!

BTW, thanks, Twila and Keith for the trip. I love you! You too, cody!

A really quick post before I go to work... Twila and I will be leaving in the early AM to go to Charleston so I can have my lung tests done, I dread the tests because they take a lot out of me but I haven't been to the beach since Gina's 18th birthday, I don't think, so I am looking forward to that.

3S is closing and it really depressed me to know all my 1800 pages are going into cyberspace, I thought it would always be around so Charli could look at what I did! There were 2 main sites I used and the other Crashed! I am very bummed.

Off to work...

A perfect page

I saw this quote as I was looking at pages today and since I was doing Kimmi's new kit, OUT OF THIS WORLD which is the SAD this time I thought "I bet I can use the deep textured paper with the bows and sequins and make a great page... Here's what I came up with. I want to print it and give to Gina for Christmas.
I think it's a near perfect page if I say so myself, I love the photo, quote, textures and the touch of sparkle!
I am so thankful I got to play with the kit and put some other pages in my gallery

This photo reminds me of one I took of Gina when she was a baby! Charli was in a great mood and let me snap away! I hope she keep it up!

Les's hand is better today, I don't know how long it will last though...

The Tams in town

We are so lucky to have a town that has free concerts every week in summer, tonight was the last and we had the Tams, what a concert! The original co-founder Charles Pope was there and he is 72! I JUST HAD TO SHARE THIS PHOTO I TOOK TODAY OF MY CHARLI...

I guess I spoke too soon about Les's hand... he was sick last night and had to go back to Dr and get more Prednisone, well, I guess we will always be Dr poor!

It's 2:43 AM and I am up not feeling very well, I think it was the hot dog I ate!
Any way I am trying to use my talents to make extra money and so I did the pictures for Ryan's Birthday, I made this page for the front of his book using the 3S Blog Train kit Jellybeans and Birthday Cake with the words by Miss Mint from Party Pants. I realy love the way it turned out!
I really enjoy ging to the kids parties! It's like each one is a family member! Before they take their naps I say "I love you!' and they say it back... I can't wait until Charli says that!

I just realized I haven't blogged this week. I have been trying to stay ahead on posting at 3S so when I go to Charleston I can be worry free, LOL! I have done many challenges at SOTB this week including this one using Deanna Patterson's Glorious Fall. I an so blessed to do kits for the 3S designers!

My MIL when to hospital last night because she passed out, she has bad kidney infection and was dehydrated, Les is on the road to getting better but is far from well, Charli is doing great, I am still waiting for that other tooth, Seth has both bottom ones.

Well, that's that, oh, I decided to do bragbooks and Christmas cards for others and several people want them! This should be a great way to make extra money!

I love this picture Trey took of Charli and Me! I used two of my older Halloween kits, Witches Brew by April Staker and Spooktacular by Osten Wilkens, the stitching is by Kimmi Stewart. she was so sweet as she sat there nodding off!

Ivan Parker Concert

Just a quick note, Went to see Ivan Parker in concert with friends from church tonight, I really didn't want to go as this isn't the typical things I listen to But had a great time, he has a wonderful voice!
Les is still battling Gout and Dr wants him to stay out of work 2 days while he is taking powerful meds, I know know how he has worked with his hands swollen as it is.

Scrapture Posting

I am happy to say that I am keeping Charli while Gina is going out for her Birthday so this is a quicky. This is my posting bonus for my Scrapture Challenge at 3S, it's the HnH kit called Just Peachy by Carla Ware and it's HERE I hope you will take a look!

Just thought this was so cute!

Ryan wanted to sit up today at naptime and so I left him alone and just watched, he started falling asleep sitting up then laid down and took his nap. It was even cuter because his hair wouldn't lay down! Charli was Really glad to see me yesterday and today! She didn't want me to put her down today.

George, my FIL, is back in the hospital again with lung problems. Also still no address from Jeremy!

I love this OH SPOTS kit from kimmi Stewart! I added the flowers, charm and pin frpm other kits to add something extra special for my Scrapture Challenge entry! My grandmother is a fine Christian! As a child I saw her write her tithes check on Friday and place it on her dresser to take Sunday. She reads her Bible and other study books which she often shares with me! I hope I can be a good example to my grandchildren!

Upcoming S.A.D kit

This is made with a great kit called Summer Treats by Cathy Krenek I had a ball playing with it! This is Charli eating a banana with one of those things so a baby doesn't choke, she got all sticky but really enjoyed it! I can't wait to see her Tuesday, she went to the beach for the week end. She is pulling to stand so I expect her to walk soon! She was 8 months old yesterday!

My baby is at the beach in Charleston and I hope Gina and Sissy are getting great pictures! Today is Mama's birthday, she went with them and so did Susan, I know they will have a good time! It is starting to cool down and we have had a good little bit of rain lately, I so look foward to fall!

THIS IS RYAN, MY ONLY LITTLE BOY RIGHT NOW, THESE KIDS ARE ALL SO SWEET! I RARELY HAVE TO USE TIME OUTS AND THEY PLAY SO WELL TOGETHER. I GUESS IT'S LIKE HAVING EXTRA GRANDKIDS!

ANYWAY THIS WAS ALSO DONE WITH KIMMI'S AUTUMN BLESSINGS KIT AND LINK IS IN LAST POST, I THINK, THIS WAS FOR THE ONE LETTER CHALLENGE.
