We are so lucky to have a town that has free concerts every week in summer, tonight was the last and we had the Tams, what a concert! The original co-founder Charles Pope was there and he is 72! I guess I spoke too soon about Les's hand... he was sick last night and had to go back to Dr and get more Prednisone, well, I guess we will always be Dr poor!

Any way I am trying to use my talents to make extra money and so I did the pictures for Ryan's Birthday, I made this page for the front of his book using the 3S Blog Train kit Jellybeans and Birthday Cake with the words by Miss Mint from Party Pants. I realy love the way it turned out!
I really enjoy ging to the kids parties! It's like each one is a family member! Before they take their naps I say "I love you!' and they say it back... I can't wait until Charli says that!

I just realized I haven't blogged this week. I have been trying to stay ahead on posting at 3S so when I go to Charleston I can be worry free, LOL! I have done many challenges at SOTB this week including this one using Deanna Patterson's Glorious Fall. I an so blessed to do kits for the 3S designers!

My MIL when to hospital last night because she passed out, she has bad kidney infection and was dehydrated, Les is on the road to getting better but is far from well, Charli is doing great, I am still waiting for that other tooth, Seth has both bottom ones.

Well, that's that, oh, I decided to do bragbooks and Christmas cards for others and several people want them! This should be a great way to make extra money!

I love this picture Trey took of Charli and Me! I used two of my older Halloween kits, Witches Brew by April Staker and Spooktacular by Osten Wilkens, the stitching is by Kimmi Stewart. she was so sweet as she sat there nodding off!

Ivan Parker Concert

Just a quick note, Went to see Ivan Parker in concert with friends from church tonight, I really didn't want to go as this isn't the typical things I listen to But had a great time, he has a wonderful voice!
Les is still battling Gout and Dr wants him to stay out of work 2 days while he is taking powerful meds, I know know how he has worked with his hands swollen as it is.

Scrapture Posting

I am happy to say that I am keeping Charli while Gina is going out for her Birthday so this is a quicky. This is my posting bonus for my Scrapture Challenge at 3S, it's the HnH kit called Just Peachy by Carla Ware and it's HERE I hope you will take a look!

Just thought this was so cute!

Ryan wanted to sit up today at naptime and so I left him alone and just watched, he started falling asleep sitting up then laid down and took his nap. It was even cuter because his hair wouldn't lay down! Charli was Really glad to see me yesterday and today! She didn't want me to put her down today.

George, my FIL, is back in the hospital again with lung problems. Also still no address from Jeremy!

I love this OH SPOTS kit from kimmi Stewart! I added the flowers, charm and pin frpm other kits to add something extra special for my Scrapture Challenge entry! My grandmother is a fine Christian! As a child I saw her write her tithes check on Friday and place it on her dresser to take Sunday. She reads her Bible and other study books which she often shares with me! I hope I can be a good example to my grandchildren!

Upcoming S.A.D kit

This is made with a great kit called Summer Treats by Cathy Krenek I had a ball playing with it! This is Charli eating a banana with one of those things so a baby doesn't choke, she got all sticky but really enjoyed it! I can't wait to see her Tuesday, she went to the beach for the week end. She is pulling to stand so I expect her to walk soon! She was 8 months old yesterday!

My baby is at the beach in Charleston and I hope Gina and Sissy are getting great pictures! Today is Mama's birthday, she went with them and so did Susan, I know they will have a good time! It is starting to cool down and we have had a good little bit of rain lately, I so look foward to fall!

THIS IS RYAN, MY ONLY LITTLE BOY RIGHT NOW, THESE KIDS ARE ALL SO SWEET! I RARELY HAVE TO USE TIME OUTS AND THEY PLAY SO WELL TOGETHER. I GUESS IT'S LIKE HAVING EXTRA GRANDKIDS!

Grandmama is doing Great!

My Grandmother, who is 90, went through her mastecotomy with out any problems! She said that there were Lots of prayers going up for her that helped her. When I sat with her yesterday she was laughing, eating candy and she even had Mama fix her hair and put on lipstick! How Blessed I am with her genes!
My PI2000 program has been acting out so I have not got to do any pages but I reloaded it and hope to scrap later today!

Jeremy Called

Today I was in Wal-Mart and a call came in from a 999# so I didn't answer, the next thing I know Jeremy has left me a voice mail saying he is in Kuwait! I so wish I had talked to him!

Grandmama and Mama came and ate supper with us and I called Gina to let us watch Charlie a while which she did, Les and I had her dancing and laughing to the Cupid Shuffle. Jeff put his cowboy hat on her and got me to take pictures, it was a fun night!

Grandmama has cancer

Found out that Grandmama has Breast Cancer this week. She just celebrated her 90th birthday last month and now she is facing this. She has always been pretty healthy, I as feeling pretty bad to see this wonderful woman face this. They won't do chemo because of her age because it will run her down. She has always traveled a lot, Been in all the states but Alaska.

She is also the most influential person in my life along with my other grandmother, my Nanny who died in 1989 of Spinal Cancer, she had had breast cancer in both sides.

Jeremy Gary off to Iraq

I am sad because Jeremy leaves tomorrow! It was supposed to be Friday but the Army told them that were moving it up! I am so sad Seth will spend the next year not seeing his Dad! His first Christmas and first Birthday and they are 3000 miles away from family, I really have concerns with that!



I did start a Social group for our Church Saturday night, I have 8 members as of now, looking forward to building it up!

JEREMY TURNED 28

I can't believe my baby turned 28 yesterday! I spoke to him a few minutes, it wouldn't be but 7 days he will ship out! I am not going to say too much about that right now...

My Grandmother had to stay the night in the Hospital, she passed out after they took some biopsies. I know she will be fine, though.

Off to work now! I have a very good class, they really play together well!

I FEEL BACK IN THE GROOVE OF THINGS WITH MY SCRAPPING NOW! NOT EVERYTHING'S UNPACKED AT THE HOUSE BUT I AM MAKING MY USUAL # OF PAGES.

I HAVE CHALLENGED MYSELF TO TAKE ON DOING A CROSSSTITCHED STOCKING FOR CHARLI, I STARTED MONDAY AND AFTER SEVERAL HOURS IT IS ONLY A LITTLE DONE, LOL! IT MAY BE LIKE THE SHIP I JUST FINISHED JEREMY, 3 OR 4 YEARS! I HOPE NOT BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE TO DO SETH ONE, TOO!

Oh, I am not in Church this morning because I had to take Les to ER at 2AM, He has GOUT in his left hand, now! He got it in his right hand and they had to cut his cast off early and that hand is healing finally, I have accepted, that is Life with Les!

I Am joining the Blog Train!

I am going to be joining the Blog Train with my 3S friends! There will be lots of prizes and Fun!

Just thought I would post a picture of the kids when they first saw the babies. Seth and Charli sems to be fasinated with each other and it was so sweet as Jeremy and Gina first met the other's baby!
Jeremy turns 28 next week and leaves for Iraq the 29th! I so hope he spends most of his time in the vehicle and doesn't see a lot of the bad stuff! I keep saying prayers for him! I actually have't talked to him since he went home, I guess he is busy with getting ready....

Gina took Charli took the Dr for her 6 month Check up Monday. She weighs 15'3" and is 27.25" long. Since she was 6'12" when she was born that seems like a big difference! How beautiful she is and people have commented on how she lights up when she sees me!
One of our church members passed away, Papa Howard. I have many fond memories of him and our church will really miss him!
It is finally raining now. We have been under a drought for so long and the rain is so wonderful, I pray it will rain for days! Our temps have been around the 10 degree mark and we appreciate the front that has moved in.
My shoulder is all better, I feel a muscular twinge now and then but that is no big deal, it has been 3 weeks since I hurt it!

Here are pictures from my 30 year reunion, Les and I had fun! I joined the Network, too, to keep up with some of the people I graduated with!

Charli had her 6 month check up today, she weights 15lb. and 3 0z! She is I think, 27" long, she is really growing!

I joined my High School Network tonight! It's a cool site that a member started to keep in touch with people we went to school with!

Well here is my beautiful baby sitting up! She started 2 days after she turned 6 months! Shae also waves, says Mama and Baba and Gina swears she has said MeMe a couple of times... I think she is being nice though, LOL!
I went to my 30th High School Reunion this weekend, I will post some pictures this week!
Jeremy ships out August 29 so I hope everyone will pray for his safety!

JEREMY AND JULIE GOT OFF TODAY, THEY ARE IN THE AIR NOW, IT WAS GREAT HAVING THEM THE LAST FEW DAYS, I WAS SAD THAT WE WERE MOVING WHILE THEY VISITED AND I FELL LAST WEDNESDAY, THE 23D, AND DISLOCATED MY SHOULDER, THAT LIMITED HOLDING SETH!

Just sharing a few pictures of the babies as they get to know each other. We are in the process of moving as the kids are visiting so I have been BUSY!

Jeremy's Coming!

So much has been going on lately I don't get around to Blog much! Today I will finally meet my DGS, Seth! They have been trying all week to get here by taking a flight that had space available with no luck so they just borrowed the money and are in flight now.
We are in the process of moving, it has cost so much in gas which is now $4.80 a gallon and up and with the medical bills piling up we just can't keep our mobile home. I am sad, we have lived in Waterloo since 1996 and bought this home when Les burned our other one in a kitchen fire but at the same time I am excited!
Off to post at 3S a few minutes and then back to bed... I have a long day ahead!

Festival of Flowers

This year's Festival was a lot of fun! Les and I went to see The fabulous Expressions with Marijane Wells and the Blue grass night with New Dixie Storm, we also did the entire Garden tours!

I am just late posting, we have been really busy!

Will be moving after living here 12 years, I am excited to get a new start, and Jeremy will be home the week end!

As you can see by the picture Les spent his 50th Birthday in a cast!

I am so blessed to have a job I love!

I go to work each day and play with 6 older toddlers, sometimes I only wish me lap was bigger! This is an age where each day they start saying new words and learning how to do something exciting!

Well, my tests weren't so bad! The echocardiogram was done by a tech named Sandra and she didn't poke the thing under my rib like the Dr did years ago; and Warren was great doing the lung tests, he had a relaxing voice and lest me rest and explained everything! I even learned that the way my fingernails are rounded is a sign of Lung Disease and called CLUBBING, that was fascinating to me!

Jeremy sent me a couple of photos last week, I am so tickled to see how much the kids favor!

I had a physical Monday and had to have an echo-cardiograph yesterday because my EKG was not so good and today I must take the Dreaded Pulmonary Function tests because my lung disease has increased. Les is going with me because I get so out of breath and weak doing them. I feel good so I am not worried either way but I really have missed keeping Charli because of going to the Dr!

Oh, Les's hand is broke, this time it's his right one and it's not as bad as when he broke his left one sticking it in the ceiling fan... I am so used to him breaking things I just shake my head and wonder what's next! He will be in a brace Tuesday for his 50th birthday!

Two years ago on Father's Day I spent the day watching my Dad struggle to breathe his last breaths so I am in a reflective mood... I am happy for Jeremy though as today is his first Real Father's Day, although he has been Dad to the girls it is different to have his own child!

Les had to work so his usual Movie with Gina has to be later and I am sad that the women he works with all got off and the men had to work... they were all off on Mother's Day, too. Not quite fair I say!

I took this the other day, I set it as my desktop! Went with Gina to the Doctor today, Charli now weighs 12'6" which is reverse of her 6'12" birth weight.

She is in the 25 to 50% on weight but in 75% on height at 25"long!
